make-up vendors

HI all, I'm wondering what people usually pay for make-up artists who come on site? I've been quoted between $150-200 for just the bride and about $85 per bridesmaid. I know when my sister got married she only paid $60 for herself and $45 for each girl but we all looked like circus clowns once they were done. what's the norm for a GOOD make-up artist? And with that in mind, any recommendations for Northeastern MA? -

Makeup by Brea is well reviewed on these boards. I am using Danielle Ross, who is also very well reviewed. She is $80 for the bride, $50 for a trial and maids/moms are $60, kids are $10. She is wonderful and she travels....fee for anywhere outside of Plymouth county I believe.
Here's both their websites:

In Response to make-up vendors:
That is the going rate for a pro. I'm a makeup artist who specializes in bridal application. I know it may be steep, but please keep in mind, we bring our own cosmetics, brushes, pay for our travel, pay for a babysitter while pampering you and your girls for your special day. We are trained in special lighting and use application techniques that most mua dont use. Stay beautiful!HI all, I'm wondering what people usually pay for make-up artists who come on site? Danielle is a fantastic artist! She does a beautiful job! I have personally worked with Danielle many times at the Estee Lauder counter in North Attleboro, where I work. She has a fun personality and makes your time in her chair memorable!Makeup by Brea is well reviewed on these boards. I am using Danielle Ross, who is also very well reviewed. I used Carolina Velasco (she's in Malden, but will travel) and her fees were about what you quoted above for hair and make-up. I thought she was great and it was nice to only have one vendor for both hair and make-up. Here's her website: http://www.specialdaybycarolina.com/. -

I believe Danielle Ross recently "retired" as a wedding makeup artist...she does do awesome work...
Brigid Cermak is also a wonderful makeup artist...her website is:

she does travel to northeastern MA
