    SHOES!

Now is the worst part - shopping for shoes. I have the worst feet, size 6-1/2 D with very high arches. We went to Shoes to Dye For last night. So depressing. Not a shoe in the house fit me. So, help me! Recommend your shoe vendor!

    I got mine from Brenner's on route 1 for $25. They'll do. :-)

What does D mean?  Wide or narrow?

Has anyone been able to find good places online?  I've been shopping on Zappos, which is really great, but I feel that some of the shoes are ridiculously over priced.

    Wide. Wide like Fred Flintstone!

Ooo, I didn't know there were any Brenner's left! There used to be one at Wrentham.

OK am I thinking of the right store? I'm trying to look up Brenner's and not finding it.

    Yep, its in Saugus

    Here's the google map

I guess its like  party supply store/shoe store. Wierd, but super cheap. My shoes are white w/ a little rhinestone. They are a tiny bit "dirty" but they will be once I walk outside anyway so I dont really care. Nothing can possibly make my feet look pretty so I don't even try hhaa.

    Re: SHOES!

Me too, Reader!  Size 6 1/2 and wide!!  Sometimes I go for the 7 instead.

I didn't have much trouble with wedding shoes, but I did look carefully for sandal type shoes that would suit my wide feet.  I ended up with these in white.  I'd prefer the heel a little higher, but what can ya do.

    Re: SHOES!

Since my feet are so hard to fit, I'm not comfortable getting shoes online. I need a brick and morter store that carries a large selection of wide styles. I did go to Brenners/Saugus Shoe Barn and found a pair that worked and that I liked. Yay!

It can be so depressing when I have to get shoes for a specific need as opposed to opportunistic purchases of getting something that fits when I come across it. I tried on 22 pairs of shoes before I found the ones that worked. I'm shocked I only had to go to two stores.

So I ended up getting an 8 1/2 wide shoe for my gross little 6.5DD feet. That's what you get when you have feet that are as wide and as thick as they are long. Ew!
