    Inexpensive venue for small wedding?

My friend is planning a small (30ish guests) wedding for the Fall, looking for a small venue that is inexpensive, perhaps bring your own food type of place. The couple isn't fancy, just want to be married and celebrate with some close family/friends. We're on the South Shore, any suggestions?

Hi BsBrideI have heard great things about the Rockland Sons of Italy.  Check them out, as you can just bring in your own stuff. Also, ask some Italian friends or family if they belong to the Sons of Italy lodge in their area, you may be able to get a discount or something.

What about The Chateau?  Maybe it's above their budget if they are thinking pot luck, but it would be between $1500 - $1900 depending on what day of the week they choose and if they pick brunch or dinner.  The wedding facility is in Norton.

The Light Keeper's house on Cohasset harbor sounds like it will meet your friend's needs.  It's a nice room, you can bring your own liquor and food, and the rental is not too high.  My best friend had her wedding there and it was beautiful and simple. It was in the fall and it was a great place for photos too.
