It goes like this:
You (you meaning any regular or lurker who would like to join in and maybe lose a few pounds or even just stay healthy) post your stats once a week in this format:
Goal: -40 from starting date
Starting date: 06/30/2011
Goal date: really just want to be healthy
Pounds lost this week: 0
Total lost: 0
Left to go: 40
Total lost since August 2007: 65
(I just do this last "total lost" one to mark when I actually began the battle)
We can also share tips, recipes, give each other encouragement (or crap, as the case may be) and maybe arrange to talk off-thread to arrange walks and stuff
I like to post on Friday or Saturday mornings ordinarily, so that's what I'll probably do, but I'll try to run a recap once a week on Friday morning to sum up how everyone did in the prior week with their check in's.

Pounds lost this week: 4
Total lost: 20
Left to go: 10ish
Total lost since January, 2011: 24
I'm going to behave really well till mid-July knowing that I'll fall off the wagon in Boston.
Just did 6 month measurements and I have lost 12 inches altogether with almost 5 around my waist and 2 in chest. Not as much on hips or thighs, but trainer said I shouldn't whine (wine?) so much. Other areas are gaining tone or muscle, too. Clotheswise, it's between 1 and 2 dress sizes, depending.
It's hard, but worthwhile, so take heart everybody and start. I'm here to be anyone's cheerleader, so just ask! -

AW, thanks you guys and gals............ a little ahem, surgery never hurts but looks like lots of folks on here have had success too. Always a lifelong battle! You know the old joke......... I just got rid of 170 lbs of ugly fat........ (divorce of course!) -
