You dropped two. Are you only supposed to drop one or add one ?
Hi. These instructions to these Word Scramblers are a little confusing. I couldn't think of a right way to say what I meant at the time. For that I am sorry. When we get the edit function back, I'll edit the instructions to be more clear.
It should be that you try using the same alphabetical letters from the previous word. However, if you can't, you're then allowed to either add exactly 1 additional alphabetical letter in your new word, or delete exactly 1 alphabetical letter from the previous word to form your new word.
Also note that your new word does not have to use the alphabetical letters that is in the previous word with the same frequency.
Previous word ..... Ban (contains the alphabetical letters a, b, n)
New word ........... Banana (contains the alphabetical letters a, b, n)
Obviously these words are of different length, but they do contain the same alphabetical letters as each other.
Of course finding a new word containing all of the alphabetical letters and with the same frequency as is in the previous word is more challenging, but we stray from using common words when we do that after a while (and we've tried that).
