Is Harvard elitist or just elite?

Many have spoken out against Harvard in its past 375 years, including Senator Scott Brown, Woody Allen, and Cornel West. Do you agree with their criticism? What do you think?

Yes.  The latter understandably leads to the former.

Why would anyone listen to Woody Allen, an actor who himself has a history.  There aren't too many who if accepted pass on Harvard.  I am sure that if Scott got accepted to Harvard, he would have been arrving in July for the fall semester.

Harvard has produced some recent greats, including one founder of facebook, something anyone on a computer uses.

West himself has a few skeletons in the closet.

what is "great" about mark zuckerberg and facebook? if by great you simply mean wealthy, then sure, i agree. and what skeletons does west have in his closet?

What's great about Zuckerberg and FB is that both essentially changed the way people connect with each other and changed the way businesses could connect with their customers. Money isn't everything..sometimes accomplishment matters as well. Zuckerberg is pretty remarkable in both aspect. Interesting tidbit..Zuckerberg never actually graduated from Harvard. It seems he "outgrew" it by the end of his sophomore year.
