It would depend where the money is coming from. If it doesn't increase taxes or decrease other vital services of course it would be great to have more teachers. But unfortunately, in the real world, that would never happen.

No. Enough money is spent on schools. American education will not improve until the school year and day length are extended and the quality of text books improved, even if it means going to another country to purchase them.
Too many political platforms are allowed to twist the quality of education in this country and should be told to butt out. -

No. Don't spend the money on the teachers (they make enough), but spend the money on technology and curriculum. The United States is fast falling behind many others countries in these areas. -

No. No, no!
Teachers make plenty for the amount they work. And the issue is bad schools.
Bennett in CO had it right in his speech. Just because you are born into a zip code, doesn't mean you should be subjected to bad schools.
Open up the schools to everyone. If you live in Waltham and want to go to school in Weston, fine. Just get their on your own.
When children stop going to bad schools, they will either get better or, disappear. Problem fixed. -

As a parent with children working with concerned teachers to get troubled kids the services they need in a best boarding schools. Money should be spent more on the quality and standard of education. What people need is a high quality of education and proven reforms, like letting principals control spending, good salary for teachers to have interest in teaching and the educational programs. Numerous teachers are useless if they are'nt have the good qualities. The union should let teachers to be rewarded and retained based on performance, not seniority, and parents should have more say in who educates their children.
