Boston's big names: Who did we miss?

Earlier this week, to help clue in newcomers about who runs this town, we published a list of Boston's big names. We think we got all of 'em in there, but we'd love your advice as well.

Who else would you add to our list of Boston's big names?

Instead of asking who you missed that needs to be added, you should be asking who was included that needs to be removed.

Bianca de la Garza? Maria Stephanos? Kim Kazei?

These are Boston's "big names"? Really? What a hick town we live in. And what a bogus list

Funny though that Linda Pizzuti, who is famous for one reason: she landed a billionaire, gets her own separate page. Meanwhile her husband, John Henry, has to share his page with Lucchino and Werner

Root-y toot toot-y for Linda Pizzuti!

Did I miss Theo Epstein? Forget the trio, Theo's the "Boston" guy (okay, Brookline) while the other three seem to pretend they're New Englanders.

Another stupid list, only aspired to by wannabes.  Probably compiled by the same person who wrote the headline "Blizzard follow-up"  The Senate president but not the Speaker of the House?! And comedians we never heard of.

Stop wasting space with this meaningless drivel.

The Hoyts, Dick and Rick. When students are here for the Marathon they'll probably wonder why there is a giant roar when these two pass by.

I am so glad you left that idiot Dane "no talent" Cook off the list, and ditto for Mario "even less talent" Cantone.

You probably shoulda explained why the T uses the name "Charlie" on their paper tickets

No love for Elliot from Jordan's furniture?

Since you mentioned Bobby Orr's statue, you coulda mentioned why Curley's statue is behind the City Hall, and what great piece of vernacular the great Civil War General  (whose statue at the State House, but his name is censored on this site) added to our language.  Or that old Ben Franklin was born here, not in Philly

Then add who you will NOT find here:  There are no guys named Norm and Cliff, there is no Denny Craine, and no matter what you spend, Spencer is no longer for hire

More pseudo-news from the ever fluffy and puffy Boston.com, which apparently is forever star-struck with so-called celebrities.  "big names"???  What a waste of space....
only serving to inflate the already-oversized egos of those named......
