Under law you must present an objection to how someone or something has treated you in a reasonable time frame. This is rational. because frankly it is proven that the longer the time the less truthful the memory. The whole issue of "memory" was called in to question in many cases. It has been proven that tesimony from people who belive they are victims does not match the memory of people who were casual witnesses. To push the legal limit for claims is a trial lawyers wet dream. They can pull more money on unproveable claims.
