    What would you do?

A 39-year-old Hanover plumber is the first winner of a Lucky for Life grand prize, which will award him $1,000 every day for the rest of his life, the Massachusetts Lottery said today.

$1000.00 a day for life? What would you do with it? Would you keep working?

What would be your first purchase?

Definitely keep working -> need the health-plan. It's not THAT much money.
    Maybe part-time though.
Invest. Buy gold. Move to nicer house, maybe with a garden. No fancy cars though, or stupid over-the-top gifts for others. Definitely would  be "centered" and not go crazy. Change my cellphone number so beggars cant call me up for cash.
Hire a "life-manager" to deal with crap like paying taxes, remembering birthdays, grocery shopping and other boring stuff. No more forms for me!
Maybe be able to afford to adopt a couple of kids (normal people cant do that as lawyers are so expensive, only the rich can afford that).

He'll be lucky to clear a buck and 3/4's after taxes.   Less than it appears.

I thought I read somewhere it was $255,000 after taxes. Not a princely sum but a good yearly investment.
