51% of the electorate voted for this fool. They don`t even know what Obamacare is.  60% of the AMERICAN PEOPLE are against Obamacare and have been since it`s inception.  They still are today.  It costs $1.8 TRILLION and is destroying jobs.

If you think for one second the misinformed, uneducated, welfare-ites, that voted for Obama in November know anything other than their need to keep their EBT cards coming......you`re sadly mistaken.

2014 will be a Republican sweep in huge numbers.

Try to look at it this way - we suffered through eight years of your "fool", a stolen election, and two unecessary and unfunded wars that cost thousands of lives (some even American) and trillions of dollars added to the debt and pulled our economy out of the toilet. You put your best candidates up and lost, twice.

It is now OUR turn and the least you can do is be polite and respect the process while we clean up the mess and focus on taking care of our people.

It's OK if you don't thank us, we know you'll appreciate it and that your heart is in the right place.

FIRST downgrades of our credit rating in history.

Ummm, the credit downgrade was a result of the Republican House bringing the USA to the brink of default due to not increasing the debt limit. Same thing is about to happen again - write your congressman and dump your bonds.

Correct! "Silly you"!  You brought up the budget in your whiny rant-of insanity.......not me.

Wrong again - not one mention of the budget in my post - I have a coupon for LensCrafters if you want it.

Um....again, you should maybe try reading a paper or watching the news.  Republicans have had 4 proposals in the last 3 days, tried to negotiate in good faith, and HARRY REID has stopped the DEMOCRATICALLY controlled Senate from voting.

Geeeeeeeeeeez...............should you be allowed near the keyboard?

    [/QUOTE]

Ummm, what is there to negotiate? What are you offering to not sink the country and possibly start another recession? No thanks.

The ACA is law and you guys want to take the country over a cliff, guns blazing, and call it freedom.

The thing that terrifies the heck out of you guys is that the ACA is going to work and you're all going to look pretty silly in 2014. If the ACA is so bad, let it play out and then claim you told us so.

Face it - the GOP over played it's hand and they are now in a corner desperately looking for a way out - only this time there isn't one. That they're behaving like a cornered animal is not suprising.

    I'm actually enjoying the show.

You know what? repeal it through the legislative process. You didn't have the votes in 2012. That's the way this works. Get the votes. Otherwise, go away and leave us alone.

Seems pretty simple: the Senate voted on the House bill and it failed, but one man won't allow the House to vote on the Senate bill.

    Rep. Boehner do your job.

ACA wasnt voted on and passed like every other law......it was jammed down our throats through reconciliation without an actual vote and it has never had a majority popularity in the country...but who cares whether or not its good for america.....as long as it advances the liberal agenda lets go for it!!!

Fact; More people for voted for Democrats for the U.S. House of Representives than Republicans. The only reason the Repubs have the majority there is because the districts have been so badly gerrymandered so as to give the "tea party " repubs more credibilty than they deserve.

The Affordable Care Act of 2012 is a law, passed by the citizens of the USA and should stay as such.  Members of the House and Congress who delay our government should be penalized with fines from their very own pocket for putting our government in jeopardy.

I missed the "Obamacare election" that the voters voted for I guess.. I do recall Ms. Pelosi screaming to pass somethign that no body read. I also recall that House switched to Republican majority after that as a back lash to Obamacare.

Great idea to have the Americna people vote on it though.

The democrats not negotiating on any proposals, and then blaming the tea party faction & others is despicable.  The Dems rammed thru Obamacare with all democratic votes & now even they don't want it.  Obama is once again on the golf course, reid shut down the senate all weekend & returns hours before a shutdown.  The Dems will not compromise & play the blame game, all the while hoping for a shutdown.  Well they got what they wanted & I blame them.

Really? The Dems rammed it through? Well, ok, it was a party-line vote. Then what happened? Obama was re-elected and the Supreme Court ruled it was constitutional. The American people spoke. And Obamacare is here to stay. Now, gerrymandered GOP reps from districts that look nothing like the real USA are closing the government down because they can't get their way. They are abusing the Constitution of this country and should get nothing in return. NOTHING.

Sure it was voted on - Obama won relection vowing to keep his healthcare law. Romney ran on repeal. Romney lost (in a big way). It's quite easy.

What is more unconsitutional? A bill that helps to provide affordable health care insurance options for those that need it most in a system where health care inflation is out of control and has been for some time, or the fact that thousands if not millions of struggling, middle-class families are out of work due to the furlough and are not being paid a dime because grown adults can't come together and compromise - who are all the while being paid.

Let's take their pay away until they can learn to work together and get those affected back to work. The health care bill is not going away anytime soon, so instead of trying to kill it, lawmakers should work together and try and figure out a way to make it better.

Hasn't the President already taken it upon himself, in violation of the Constitution, to delay certain provisions of the Law?

Citation to a Supreme Court decision that directly or at the very least by analogy supports your claim, please.

Nope. No question until you get past the first hurdle you put infront of yourself.

My my. Why do people seem to think they are scoring extra arguments points by calling something "unconstitutional"?

Does anyone realize that this is the kind of claim that has to be backed up?

Or is it like a Godwin violation: Compare the opposition to something awful and pretend it made your argument stronger, rather than weaker.

Taking a page out of Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals," the plan is to maximize the people's pain -- to maximize the political damage to the enemy, the Republican Party.

Right. Dems are so very evil that no matter what the GOP does to fight the Dems, it's still the Dems fault, because the Dems made the GOP fight them. It doesn't matter what the GOP does to fight Dems, as long as they're fighting them. And when the Dems fail to make the pain the GOP is deliberately causing less painful, that's their fault, too.

PS: Does anyone else notice how all the strongest pro-Shutdown conservatives here are all saying exactly the same thing?

I mean literally paraphrasing the same sheet of talking points.

Nothing explained in depth, just repeated. Slogans. Pamphleetering. (Useful whats?)

    Fox? Limbaugh?

    Fess up...

Check your facts,.......you`re wrong.  S+P and Moody`s blamed BOTH parties and never singled out Republicans.

And just pray what do you think would happen if they did single out either party?

They cited congress's inability to negtiotiate. What facts were they looking at? That Obama and Boehner were working on a deal but the Cantor faction blew it up, held the debt limit hostage, and issue demands. Fast forward and they negotiate a sequester they both hate....      and then can't even manage to replace it with a better considered deal.

That is what the downgrade cited.

None of it would have happened if the Cantor faction had left Boehner and Obama alone.

At the end of the day, all that's really going on here is that conservatives are saying that the means justify the ends.
