    Hmm,
What is the acceptable apology for you are a paid ####. Broadcast on national media for someone just wanting healthcare? We all know Limby played healthcare like a fiddle to get his discount druggie fix. He is a prescription drug freek and he belts this woman for birth control?

Maybe if we all club together we can hire a hitman to be rid of him once and for all, LOL?
Only joking. Listening to his bile just reinforces all negativity towards conservatives, and can only do good for the left, no? This guy is an extremist to say the least.
All that said this news story went international, and those famous words said with a grimace are said yet again all over the planet: "Only in America".

Actually, I was just thinking something like this after hearing the BBC report it.  They said: "Can they say something like that on the radio in America?" ... "Wasn't it the American way to be promoting free birth control around the world?" ... "Just when you thought an issue was settled."

Bill Maher is considered a leading voice among the liberal left. His weekly show on HBO is visited by prominent liberals. Maher appears on shows like CNN, as a political commentator.

Maher repeatedly on his show, directly called Gov Sarah Palin a
    "cun t" , and a "twa t" .

Bill Maher also gave a $1 million donation to the Obama campaign.

Will Obama give the $1 million back, considering how concerned he is with treatment of women?

MSNBC commentator Ed Schultz called conservative commentator Laura Ingraham a "slu t" , also.

    Never heard much about that...

    Double standard.

BetheKoolaid, Ed Schultz was suspended for that remarked and made a heart felt apology to Miss Ingraham.

Concerning The Bill Maher's Show, it is on a pay cable channel which is on after hours with no sponsors. There is a big difference between pay TV and free radio air waves !

limbaugh didn't explain himself because he felt bad for attacking a college student 53 times in over a three day period. He did it because he was losing money.

BTW you know that the month of April is Confederate History Month in Virginia ! I wonder if they still omit the word slavery during that celebration?

Not really.  Fluke is not a public figure.  Just a college kid trying to testify about an important issue. Ingraham (and Palin) put themselves in the public spotlight and have to expect some dirty stuff in return.  Not that any of this stuff is good any way...

Fluke made herself a public figure by agreeing to testify before Congress. This is quite different from someone like Joe the Plumber who just happened to be in a position to ask an uncomfortable question of then candidate Obama and who was vilified by the left for it. Furthermore, Fluke is not the simple "23 year old law student" that she was presented to be. The truth is that Fluke is a 30 year old activist with a history of public advocacy as the past president of "Law students for reproductive justice" and vice-president of "Women's legal alliance." She is about as close to being just a college kid as Nancy Pelosi is.

For one point Sara Palin Is what Bill Maher said, so that is factual. Second she was a candidate for public office, had said a lot of clearly stupid things, and was not seeking to testify under oath. This student was willing to testify under oath and made TRUE statements, she was not a public figure running for office, and she did not lie. Bill Maher can state his opinion on a public figure running for office.
A student in college not running for office is not a public figure. She is just a voter expressing an opinion. To be called by name repeatedly on a broadcast radio a slander is not acceptable. Rush should have to pay the slander compensation out of his own pocket. I think 53 times a few million listeners. How about a buck per listener for slander. Each time he said it.

Except she is actually in college. You think that any one who appears before a Congressional Committee is transformed into a public figure akin to Palin and Ingraham? You are badly overstating your case.

Absolute bullsh!t. Never expected someone like you to spin the bull like this. Wow.

It shouldn't matter one bit whether the person is a public figure or not. If calling Fluke a sl*t is the end of the world as we know it, as the Left is acting, then it should have been the same for Ingraham. What a shocker it wasn't....HYPO...oh nevermind.

Reuben, Ms. Fluke has been in he spot light for this type of debate for several years. She has inserted herself into situations which would make her a "victim" so she can be a voice of change. Limbaugh is a blow hard and was 100% wrong but the media portrayal of Ms. Fluke is wrong.

Kirk, please tell me specifically where the GOP is attacking women's health.  Move away from the talking point for a minute, and tell me where.  Do the republicans have legislation to say, deny mammograms to women under 40?
