There is absolutely no evidence to support that global climate change is caused by man.

I heard an MIT professor with his PHD from Harvard in Atmospheric Science who has been published over 300 times say...

"Global Warming is a funny thing, it seems that the average guy on the street understands it's a total hoax, it's the well educated, really smart people who are completely fooled."

Absolutely no evidence? You're joking right? You must be, either that or you're in complete denial.. like a few hundred other scientist... who ignore the vast quantity of data that its real and happening...

All depends on where you live, if you lived in CA, you'd be making a fortune, they and other parts of the SW where having record highs while we were having rain and wet...

The problem is, their is a confusion between local weather patterns and overall global temperatures. Just because its chilly outside your door, doesn't mean somewhere is else its not blistering hot. And there is also the current effect of La Nina, which is now occuring off the coast of South America... that changes weather patterns too.

Global warming deniers come off sounding as intelligent as holocaust deniers.

You fools even say that the unusually cool weather we've had is caused by global warming.

There's 10's and 10's of thousands of people who disagree with better bona fide's than you or I.  Its a worthy debate.  But citing a baseball geek from Daily KOS is a good way to start looking like the aforementioned holocaust deniers

Re: Nate Silver challenges global warming deniers

The average temperature on earth has declined every year since gore's seminal film.

    The ice caps are expanding.

Even the polar bears are faring better than expected.

Global warming is indeed a mere theory, and one which conveniently allows those heavily invested in the carbon trading schemes (such as gore) to potentially make many millions in profit on said markets.

Not to mention, it is written into the records of groups like the Club of Rome ( a sort of cousin to groups like the CFR or Trilaterals) that exactly these types of issues will be used to foist global governance upon the sovereign nations of the world.  And so far, together with their also written plan to leverage an engineered financial crisis, they are succeeding.

The data simply do not support 'Global Warming' as a man made phenomenon, or even as an ongoing trend.

Japan has broken with the pack as well, with it's appointed scientific body also rejecting the theory as unsupported by evidence.

Kirk, you have become a fundamentalist.  You have abandoned the need to question your own beliefs.  Beliefs mark the death of thought, and such a thing is inexcusable when you consider the changes that are going to be forced upon us in the name of saving us from ourselves.

Become a pugnacious interlocutor in your own thought process.  Awaken it.  Allow it the oxygen of new data, and rational dissent.  Otherwise, you will suffer the associated brain death of intellectual suffocation.

    Quickly, before it's too late.

In Response to Re: Nate Silver challenges global warming deniers:
A lot of ignorance on display here. The icecaps are melting, so are the glaciers. All this in spite of the fact that the sun is at its lowest level of activity in 80 years. Increasing atmospheric CO2 by 40% in 200 years is warming the earth. And we add another 10 billion tons of CO2 to the atmosphere every year.
    Posted by Kirk6

And the plant life all around the globe breathes in that 10 billion tons of C02, 'exhales' a like amount of Oxygen as their waste material, and then thanks us very much for the fine environment in which to grow in.

Also, did you know that Co2 is supposed to rise up into the upper atmosphere, creating the barrier that produces a greenhouse effect?  Well that's the theory anyway.

Unfortunately for the theory, C02 is heavier than air, even at ground level (much heavier as you gain altitude) so it sinks to the ground, again where the plant life enjoys the bountiful harvest.

See a simple but effective experiment here
