Um, Sarah Palin in Alaska could shoot down the missile

...if the clueless libs and Obama hadnt opposed and cut the development of missile defense technology , so they could pay for more Obamaphones and other free stuff for their low information voters...

    Another big liberal mistake.

Thank goodness we have a commander in chief not willing to dump billions more into a system that doesn't work to address a threat that doesn't exist.

We're broke, remember?  And it ain't because of Reaganphones.

None whatsoever when N. Korea is talking about nukeing our troops.  Go back to something at your level, like Buckwild Or American Idol.

Reagan talked about using missile defense against rogue states with nukes, back  in the 1980s....he was universally mocked, no one could envision this scenario.

Amazing how many issues he got right.

Like a double tap between the eyes??? : )

Something like that ....... the boy is very dangerous ! I would rather use diplomacy to solve our problems with any nation but I would never rule out a air strike with B2s or F117 on facilities believed to be used to produced nuclear weapons .

Rightly so. The technology just wasn't there. Even now it isn't a sure bet, but at least our computers are capable of astronomically more calculations per second.

Hitting something going thousands of miles an hour with another thing going thousands of miles an our isn't easy, even if The Great Golden God is president...

NATIONAL MISSILE DEFENSE CONDUCTS SUCCESSFUL INTERCEPT TEST

The Ballistic Missile Defense Organization's (BMDO) National Missile Defense (NMD) Joint Program Office announced today it has successfully completed the first test involving a planned intercept of an intercontinental ballistic missile target. The test took place over the central Pacific Ocean. A modified Minuteman intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) target vehicle was launched from Vandenburg AFB, Calif. at 7:02 p.m. PDT, and a prototype NMD interceptor was launched approximately 20 minutes later and 4,300 miles away from the Kwajalein Atoll in the Republic of the Marshall Islands. The intercept occurred at approximately 7:32 p.m. PDT.

The test successfully demonstrated "hit to kill technology" to intercept and destroy the ballistic missile target. An exoatmospheric kill vehicle (EKV) weighing about 120 pounds, equipped with two infrared sensors, a visible sensor, and a small propulsion system, located and tracked the target, guiding the kill vehicle to a body-to-body impact with the target and resulting in the target destruction using only the kinetic energy of the collision. This "hit to kill' intercept demonstrates that a warhead carrying a weapon of mass destruction-nuclear, chemical or biological - will be totally destroyed and neutralized.

Italy and France have developed a missile family called Aster (Aster 15 and Aster 30). Aster 30 is capable of ballistic missile defense. On 18 October 2010, France announced a successful tactical ABM test of the Aster 30 missile[6] and on 1 December 2011 a successful interception of a Black Sparrow ballistic target missile.[7][8] Royal Navy Type 45 destroyers and French Navy and Italian Navy Horizon -class frigates are armed with PAAMS, using Aster 15 and 30 missiles.

1 million man army, 5.3 million in reserves, and a nuclear program.  "Threat that doesn`t exist"?

As usual, you prove you don`t pay attention too well.

    I'm Obama?

    That explains everything.

On second thought, I think the OP making Sarah Palin the center of his North Korea "strategy" explains everything.

Prett apparent the progressives in this thread are North Korea's "useful idiots", telling us it's all about Palin, nothing to see here, joking about the servicemen on the border.

    Nice.
