CBS Runs to Obama's Defense Over Card Games on Night of Bin Laden Raid

Why wasnt CBS News  Norah O'Donnell and Charlie Rose invited to the Vineyard cocktail parties? ...They clearly deserve it, all that heavy lifting on Obama's behalf...

Does Obama playing golf and playing cards for most of the day of the Bin Laden raid mean much? Maybe, maybe not. Contrasts a bit with the over-the-top media and campaign rhetoric about Obama's decision-making and leadership being directly responsible for the successful raid...

But what is clear is his supplicant big-media enablers will defend him to the end, and "some people" better not question the narrative of the briliant President in the Situation Room 24/7, nosirree....that would be racist...

O'DONNELL: That video from the event was just posted online this week. 15 games of spade (sic) – it was a long raid that was cared out. It took a long way – that operation. And clearly, the President, I think, needed to take a break. But I think some people are going to take that headline out of context today.

CHARLIE ROSE: I take out of that – I want the President to do whatever he needs to do to clear his mind, so he can make the most effective decision he can.

O'DONNELL: Right. That was clearly a tension-filled day.

Sour grapes is all. Bush couldn't deal with it, he basically gave up. Obama gave them the tools, stood back and let them do what they do best.

    That's leadership.

    In response to A_Concerned_Citizen's comment:

Sounds like the wingnuts are disappointed that the mission that killed OBL was an undeniable success, a textbook example of letting Spec-Ops do their job without micro-managing every aspect of an operation, and that no Americans died... all of which precludes them from attacking Obama as CinC.

    Sad.

The wingnuts can't help but try to politicize one of the greatest missions in Spec-Ops history.

They really do want America to fail only so that they can attack Obama.

Geez, you sure like demonizing your opponents, dont you?

Does it really matter what PotUS was doing every minute on that day?

Of course not, what really matters is the final score when he walks off the course.

I rather having Obama playing cards and not like dubya who was playing with a bunch of G.I. Joe dolls as U.S. Armed Forces scaled the mountains around Tora Bora !

Gallup poll: The majority of Americans (60%) perceive bias, with 47% saying the media are too liberal and only 13% saying they are too conservative...
Seventy-five percent of Republicans and conservatives say the media are too liberal. Even some liberals are fair, with 20% agreeing the media is too liberal.

Br'er crankup yeah right ..... that ain't true ..... there isn't 75 conservatives who own TV's in the country .... they are too cheap to spend the dough to buy one

btw the only time you watch TV is when you are in line for a hand out or when you are in the bottle redemption line

And all you do is try to find ways to praise him.

five years, and all he has accomplished apparently is to kill bin laden, and win a few card games.

That's quite an imagination you got there.

bin laden was found with intel Bush handed over, using techniques Obama decried.  The n, when bin laden was found, it took Obama six months to green light the mission.

sounds like bin laden was whacked when it was politically advantageous.

So let me get this straight.

Bush had the intel but refused to act.

Wow, compared to that cowardice and treachery, Obama is truly is a hero.

    Thanks for that input.

    Evidently I do.

Yo progressives spent eight years running Bush down with all sorts of marlarkey, predicted he woudl be frog-marched out of the white house, had a near obsession at one point that he wouldn't admit that he made a mistake going into Iraq.  He was a bumbling incompetent because he gave people the tools he needed and stood back.  When Obama does the same thing, he's not a bumbling incompetent, he's showing leadership.

    sigh.

And the facts I presented are true.

That's correct.  AND Clinton, when offered custody of binladen on a silver platter, he refused to take him.

So, as you can see, not much right went on with binladen over the past twenty years.

I find the last few progressives posts here telling.  Progressives are over-invested in killing binladen as the center piece of the Obama foreign policy.

So, we got a bad guy.  That's good.  The rest of the middle east is in flames or about to be.

Time for Obama to go on another apology tour, because that's all he has.  His foriegn policy, to put it kindly, is in tatters.
