Dang Republicans wont let Benghazi go..........oh wait

A group of special forces veterans has spent $5,800 for three giant billboards scheduled to go up in Boehner's district this week. And another conservative group plans to hold a day-long commemoration at the steps of the Capitol on Sept. 11.

“If 4 Members of Congress were KILLED in Benghazi would we have a Watergate-style Select Committee today?” ask the billboards, which feature photos of Boehner, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), Senate Majority leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) and Senate Minority leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.). “Demand Justice for Benghazi.”

The group of speocial forces veterans who took out the billboard are GOP affiliated and have numerous affiliations with Tea Party groups, especially in southwest Ohio.  The group that built their website is a GOP new media consulting firm.  Special Operations Speaks has endorsed Tea Party candidates for office.

So if you are inferring that this group of veterans is nonpartisan, you are very wrong.

Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) and other House Republicans are coming under increasing pressure....
GOP allies on Benghazi have been targeted for criticism.

    Geez, It's a tp-er group.

Who's banner to they run under?

Hence it's intercine, hence it's GOP-ers who won't let it go, hence your thread title is meaningless

    [/QUOTE]

The TP being fiscally conservative align more with the fiscal, security and individual accountibility components of the GOP  platform but, they have campaigned against many republicans and removed many by doing so.

They also have Pelosi and Reed on the banner in question.

The title of the thread is a snide comment since many think the politicians in the GOP are not supported on this issue!

This is about tbaggers, under the gop-er umbrella, trying to drag other gop-ers to the far-right, fanatical fringe of the party ... but it's all still within gop-er party.

The wingnuts fanned these flames early and often and when the facts didn't support their crazy conspiracy theories, they began to tone down the rhetoric. These extreme tp-ers, after having been whipped into a frenzy by the wingnuts, refuse to let the facts speak for themselves. They are now convinced that those irresponsible and inflammatory remarks by the gop-ers are the new reality and anyone, even those on the committees, are now part of a cover-up.

It's a classic example of the wingnut penchant for inflaming their base with crazy, wild-eyed, unsubstaniated accusations and when those charges are proven to be unsustainable and the wingnuts back-off, they lose control of the mob... a mob that they created... which then goes after anyone who isn't as crazy as they are, even within their own party. That's why it's intercine, why they're placing the billboards in Bonners district and why it has little to do with the Dems.

The chickens have come home to roost and the wingnuts have no one else to blame but themselves.

You sir are a clueless, partisan.

The TP's were about taxes remember???

    "Tea Party" Boston, remember??

This aboiut people getting murdered and our govt has done little to nothing to find out EXACTLY what happened, why it happened, how to prevent it from happening and bring those that did it to justice!

Just because someone is part of a group at one point does not mean that group is the sum of that person.

Re: Dang Republicans wont let Benghazi go..........oh wait

The State Department’s investigation into the Sept. 11, 2012 attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi was not independent and failed to hold senior State Department officials accountable for the failures that led to the death of four Americans, according to a new investigative report compiled by the House Oversight Committee.

The ARB blamed systemic failures and leadership and management deficiencies within two bureaus, but downplayed the importance of decisions made at senior levels of the Department. Witnesses questioned how much these decisions influenced the weaknesses that led to the inadequate security posture in Benghazi,” the report stated. “The ARB’s decision to cite certain officials as accountable for what happened in Benghazi appears to have been based on factors that had little or no connection to the security posture at U.S. diplomatic facilities in Libya.”

The Daily Beast first reported in May that the four officials removed from their jobs and placed on administrative leave as a result of the State Department’s ARB report on Benghazi had never been told what they were accused of, never been given any opportunity to appeal their punishments, and never were officially fired. One of the officials, former Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Ray Maxwell, had little to no role in Libya security policy and was not even alleged to have been connected to the security failures leading up to the Benghazi attack.

The Daily Beast first reported last month that the Kerry State Department decided to allow those four officials to return to work in the State Department, although not in their previous jobs. Although former Undersecretary of State Thomas Pickering, the head of the ARB, said that responsibility should be placed at the assistant secretary level, top officials including Assistant Secretary of State for Near East Affairs Beth Jones were never disciplined.

‘It appears increasingly likely the Department’s primary objective was only to create the public appearance of accountability.’

A CIA employee who refused to sign a non-disclosure agreement barring him from discussing the Sept. 11, 2012 terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya, has been suspended as a result and forced to hire legal counsel, according to a top House lawmaker.

Rep. Frank Wolf (R., Va.) revealed at an event on Monday that his office was anonymously informed about the CIA employee, who is purportedly facing an internal backlash after refusing to sign a legal document barring him from publicly or privately discussing events surrounding the Benghazi attack.

The revelation comes about a month after several media outlets reported that CIA employees with knowledge of the terror attack had been forced to sign non-disclosure agreements (NDA) and submit to regular polygraph tests.

“The reports on the NDA are accurate. We’re getting people who call,” Wolf said Monday during an event marking the launch of the Citizens’ Commission on Benghazi, a panel of former military and intelligence officials who are investigating unanswered questions surrounding the Benghazi incident.

It's not republicans; it's people that were there an know what happened!

Dems leave and refuse to hear from families of those killed in Benghazi!

    Shameful and dishonest!

Patricia Smith, the mother of one of the Americans killed in the attack on the Benghazi consulate just over one year ago, gave gripping testimony on Capitol Hill, but one major component was missing during her remarks. Most of the committee's Democratic members weren't even in the chamber to hear Smith and other family members speak.

That didn't prevent Smith from speaking her mind, however, telling those who were present, "Nobody from the government got back to to tell me anything, and I mean that by saying 'anything.' And it's been, I hate to put it in the record, but it's been pure hell living through all this and not getting any answers. I wanted to be able to ... have everything go away, but I can't do that."
