    Good ol' Joshua seems a bit too angry.

    If this letter doesn't sound like it was written from inside a fortified bunker, I don't know what would. Hunker down Mr. Boston, they'll finally get your gun when they pry it from your cold bullet riddled dead hands.

    The Dude is in the military.  This means the Government has his fingerprints, knows his bloodtype, the vaccines that he's taken, can tell him where to work, when to work, and how to work.  They tell him what to wear and how to wear it.  Tell him when to get up and when to go to sleep.  Basically, he volunteered to let the government control every aspect of his life.

    And that's on top of having access to all his financial records, car registration, driver's license, hunting license, fishing license, all of his emails, the websites he's visited, overseas calls, and they have the ability to call him a terrorist and detain him indefinitely.

    And he's worried about the Government knowing that he has a gun?  Sounds like he's more than a little loony.

    And Bradley Manning will die in jail while the hero Julian Assange counts his bullion.

    Of the 400 'gun deaths', more occurred in jurisdictions like Chicago with strict gun laws...and far fewer in jurisdictions with concealed carry laws...

    We deserve better than cheap rhetoric from politicians wanting solutions that demonstrably dont work.

    Yaaaa, except there's this;

    ....the law center cited low per-capita gun death rates in Hawaii, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey and Connecticut -- states that the law center identified as having some of the toughest gun laws in the country.

    The highest per-capita gun death rates were in Alaska, Louisiana, Montana, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Wyoming, Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi -- states that the law center said have weak gun control laws.

    Of course there is the fact that majority of those states with highest per-capita gun deaths on your list also have the hightest poverty rates.

    Don't twist a concrete, verifiable fact into an incidental, off-the-cuff opinion, even though I know you could care less about gun deaths in Chicago.  In this case, the whole is larger than the sum of its parts.

    According to the NRA gun-mongers, we should be comparing video game scores to real-life headcounts.

    As you say, talk is cheap, but dead, blood-splattered white children are very, very expensive.
