Dem Senate Debate

Exciting stuff. Which candidate says the name Kennedy the most?? Who blames Bush the most??? Who blames Republicans instead of Dems for the failing healthcare debate?? Who uses the name Obama the most?? Will any try to distance themselves from Obama, the failing Congress, and their collective nose diving approval??
Will anybody actually debate to win or will they all sound the same and play nice???
I hope it's not boring. I expect they will target Martha. We will learn a lot about her tonight.

We will learn alot;
We'll learn that Martha's foreign policy experience results from news accounts of Woodstock while she was in middle school and a stack of long distance phone bills to her sister in the UK, at least Palin could see Russia from the Alaskan Shore on a clear day. Martha has never lead a business or a committee, just a sole practitioner attorney.
Khazei, is the number one moonbat stage, nice guy admirable goals, leadership only if you're wering a red jacket.
Capuano, is still tracking his geneology to see if he is a Kennedy or if his grrandfather bought any rum from Joe Kennedy during prohibition. He's much too proud of being a progressive.
Pagliauca, (to lazy to check the spelling). He's too progressive for me, but he does have leadership experience, he embraces all the liberal ideology and he actually has some foreign policy board experiecen albeit not a govenmental. Oh wait that's actually a plus. If I were to vote, it would be him. -

Looks like the HCR will pass, anyhow. Also, when that passes, it will be a turning point in d.c. You Pubs better start praying you do not get that opt out, that one is a party killer for the republicans. Why do you think the GOP is fighting so hard against it? What, because you think they care about you all? LOL!!!

let me fix your post, if I may.
"when [health care] passes, it will be a turning point in d.c. that one is a party killer for the [free enterprise system]. Why do you think the [liberals] are fighting so hard [for it]? What, because you think they care about you all? LOL!!! They are drooling over the confiscation of 1/6 of the private sector economy" -

Ok - did anyone watch the whole debate? I was in and out, and at one point, I heard one of the men say something to the effect of "Legalized gambling costs three social dollars for every dollar it makes."
Unfortunately, I was not able to see the TV, so I'm not sure who said it. Does anyone know? Also, do you know what he really said, because I would love to know where he got his research? And how to convert my American dollars to social dollars. -

I saw bits and pieces. Capuanno was the most fiery. Coakley was very sedated. Karzai, total moonbat, is all tax and spend. DC would eat him alive.
I didn't hear a single person in that debate say anything about controlling spending by the federal government. I didn't see as much as I wanted of the debate. I may have missed that part.
Capuanno is clearly the most savvy of the bunch politically.....but who the heck gave him that hair cut???? -

i went to the debate, and (not surprisingly) i don't really agree with the above. Coakley was good, very direct and to the point. Khazei, mentioned his heritage and the fact that his dad was doctor and his mother a nurse numerous times. he was also the one who mentioned he didn't support casino's as they unfairly target lower class. Capuano had old boys network written all over him and didn't think Pagliuca was really giving a fair chance (just my opinion). If i had to pick a 'winner' most people there were impressed with Coakely, I went into the debate leaning towards Khazei-the guy was named one of the best 25 leaders in the country after all, and i thought Pagliuca would be a close second for me. I left thinking of the candidates Coakley did the best. I did like Cap's position on immigration reform but for the most part they all were in agreement with each other. i don't think anyone did anything to change any one's mind, you probably left voting for the same guy/gal you planned too. -

It was Khazei. He is one of the leading voices against casinos. Maybe I am being defeatist on this issue, but it makes no sense to me not to build casinos since people are already making the trek to Connecticut anyhow (and I don't her them complaining that they are losing "social" dollars). Lets keep the money/jobs here in Mass. -

On the casino issue..I think it will happen...I just wish someone would do it in Salisbury right along the water. Great location. The place is a disaster and needs to be torn down, the town is depressed, it's close to 495 and 95. Just leave Tens and Cristy's pizza.
I wish they would have more debates. One hour was too short to get to know these people. -

And $5 tolls on 95 would help too.
Because you can live free or die, but if you want something you've got to go to Massachusetts.
