Looney rantings of an ideologically constricted conspiracy theorist. People love to bite the hand that feeds them as long as it feeds them well. This guy should give Obama a cut. Or maybe he already does. Now there's a conspiracy theory to think about.

The OP is much more than simply an advertisement for a book.

It has a story .. with links .. that parallels our society today.

Of course to some it is "just a book", while to others it's a source of information.

BTW: The book is optional ...

Yeah, it has a story alright. File it under fiction. This phony "writer" is just capitalizing on the nutty Obama conspiracy theory market to dupe more naíve fools out of their money. Just more preaching to the loony choir.  Guys like this are trying to cash in before the end of Obama's last term.

And yet I see no pro-gun activists in Ferguson pushing to arm the citizens there.

In fact the freedom loving Tea Party Nation has the exact opposite take on the situation in Ferguson...

Michael Brown is dead because he fought the law and the law won. Had Michael Brown decided not to fight the police, he would be alive today.

    http://www.teapartynation.com/forum/topics/this-should-be-the-real-story

It telling that when a known criminal who steals a million dollars from taxpayers decides to fight big, bad, evil  gov't, the T-pahtee sends armed members to defend him against some perceived threat.

When an unarmed teen, who is only suspected of stealing a few cigars, is gunned down in broad daylight that same Tpahtee blames the kid for fighting back.

Ya, those T-beggars are soooo righteous....

    This tired refrain again?

If Obama had made everyone feel dependent on government, they wouldn't need to be told that they feel dependent on government.

Just ask yourself the question: Who benefits?

Who benefits from having more and more people working for or otherwise dependent upon the Government?

Who benefits from having a permanent underclass who votes?

Who benefits from having individuals see themselves as part of an oppressed minority instead of part of a greater whole?

Im' sure that you see where this is leading...

al Qaeda was famously "decimated" by the War in Iraq. Haliburton is a government contractor that's feeds off our massive bloated federal government, they benefit from war but they're not the primary beneficiaries.

It's worthwhile to note here that the original "gun control" laws were racist efforts to disarm freed slaves and other blacks in the deep south.

Re: Does Obama Have A Plan To Make Us .. 'All Hopeless & Dependent On The Government' ??

The first attempts at gun control were by the British, and resulted in the battle at Concord (and Lexington??).

Kentucky passed the first American gun control law in 1813. It was aimed at concealed weapons generally, which gave rise to a case about a sword cane (sword being concealed).

There was other minimal activity before the Civil War. So not entirely the first gun control laws....

But yes, there wasn't much activity until the question of the freed slaves arose, leading in part to the 14th, the privileges and immunities clause being intended to apply federal constitutional rights to the states (the Supreme Court ruined that in the SLaughterhouse case.....  and later courts adopted an end-run around that rather than overturning it....via 'selective incorporation).

Long story short: If we should take heed of the historical context of gun control laws, perhaps you should pay more heed to persons expressing concern giving the historical context of vote-qualification laws. Same root concerns....

Very well. If you were not leading to a CLC-type refrain - that the safety net is really just a big Democrat plot to enslave poor/minority voters - then where did you see your questions leading?

No, I don't think those questions lead to the conclusion that Kant was wrong about a priori knowledge. Nor to the conclusion that cabbage is more tolerable than brussel sprouts. Why don't you explain?

I believe Devil's point was the same as has been made about the gold sellers that played off Alex Jones types' rants about imminent total financial collapse: They wouldn't sell you gold if they thought the cash they were getting in return was about to become worthless.

If that didn't help, RRF, do some free association around the term "snake oil"
