It is amazing how we have to micromange this stuff. What happened to common sense? Too many people trying to justify their existence and make stuff up.

Reminds me of a certain profession that has some people chasing emergency vehicles.

    newman,

This is the 2nd thread he did that today.

So yes it was personal on both sides.

The 1st time I went through in a nice way the backgrounds of the 3 lawyers who regularly post here. WDYWN, Reuben and myself.

None of us fit that bill. WDYWN did a whole post about lawyers.

Every profession has its good and bad apples.

He will not even answer what he does to keep a roof over his head.

That insult twice in one day was aimed at myself and WDYWN. For no reason.

You know I have never taken a swipe at you. Ever.

If you said the same thing, I would politely address you because you are newman, Someone I have begun to have discussions with and respect the way you handle yourelf on this board.

You have been respectful to me. I certainly have noticed and appreciate it.

In fact I love it when a poster who leans the other way starts to have discussions with me versus trying to score points.

That is why I gave you this long explanation. I did not want to lose any respect I may have garnered with you. I hope it does not get ugly with him.

I will be in the hospital most of tomorrow then recovering for a day or two.

Maybe that small break will let things cool off.

I hope you and I are okay newman.

    Andie

Reading backwards I better understand why you stood your ground. Good luck with your recovery. No change here between us as far as I'm concerned.

I support this bill and Warren...good people have bad things happen to them that effects their credit....it shouldnt be a hiring criteria.  People need to work.

Ms. Warren is an expert in tax and bankruptcy law who appears to be utilizing her strengths on behalf of ordinary consumers (citizens).

The major (if not #1) cause of personal bankruptcy and credit problems in this country is overdue medical bills - incurred by people trying to navigate the most expensive, only marginally effective health care system in the U.S.

Would that we had more like her...maybe then we wouldn't have clueless lawmakers trying to say there is no crisis re: health care in this country.

    Great.

Now, if we can get away from job discrimination against women, minorities, immigrants, young people, old people and gays, we just might be able to get some people back to work.

So...."job discrimination" is the latest excuse for the dearth of private sector employment under the jobkilling Obama statist regime....wow.

    Well, points for creativity, anyway.

If only their lordships, the "job creators", were as benevolent as the Heritage Foundation ordered the GOP to tell us they are.

Do you have anything substantive to say on whether or not this makes any sense:

"Someone loses their job," she said, "so they can't pay their bills—and now they can't get a job because they couldn’t pay their bills because they lost a job? It’s this Catch-22 that makes no sense."

How many people lost their jobs simply due to the recession, then lost their homes, and now have no credit?

Do you really think it's a good thing that businesses will simply not hire them for that reason?

Do you not see that, like the abysmal minimum wage, allowing this to go on just lets these Gods of Job Creation shovel these people onto the safety net?

I wish we didn't have to micromanage this stuff, but it's clear businesses aren't using common sense. Especially in a recession, one's credit score says little to nothing about their job performance.

    [/QUOTE]

How can business use their common sense?  Is that legal anymore?

Business has been regulated into inactionable positions by liberal nonsense bills like this.

Because lots of businesses clearly can't be trusted to play by the rules and treat people fairly...

...especially those rules in which they're supposed to "self-enforce".

The last recession was a direct result of this.

Sure, keep justifying your never ending/creeping socialism as others can't seem to behave according to your socialist rules.

The last ressession was a direct result of government policies (lend lend lend/borrrow borrow borrow), not business as an institution.

Well, how else to respond to someone who claims "business" caused the recession?

It is like saying polar bears are melting ice.

Here is what economists say about what casued the recession:
