Evidence may indicate that the IRS was even more corrupt than we thought!

It now seems that the IRS was asking targeted groups for donor lists and those on the donor list mysteriously ended up getting IRS audits shortly afterwards!

Seems like ACC is only concerned about advancing a librul agenda regardless of how it is done, legally or illegally. I guess only libruls have rights.

The extent to which libruls make excuses for the excesses of the Obama Adminstration is impressive.

It is not just about the numbers. It is about targetting. You might have an equivalent number of Democrats and Republicans audited, but that doesn't mean that some are not hand-picked for political purposes, like that Romeny supporter.

Perhaps ACC's first grade math can make excuses for this too:

    http://washingtonexaminer.com/treasury-irs-targeted-292-tea-party-groups-just-6-progressive-groups/article/2532456

IRS targets 292 tea party groups, just 6 librul groups.

If this were about the Bush Adminstration ACC would be howling. What a hypocrite.

The IRS‘ auditor told Congress this week that it stands by its determination that conservative groups were uniquely singled out for special scrutiny by the tax agency, rebutting Democrats’ contention that liberal groups also were targeted.

The Treasury Department’s inspector general for tax administration (TIGTA) sent a letter Wednesday to congressional Democrats telling them that while several liberal groups may have gotten extra scrutiny, the IRS didn’t necessarily target those — but it did do so for conservative groups.

“TIGTA concluded that inappropriate criteria were used to identify potential political cases for extra scrutiny — specifically, the criteria listed in our audit report. From our audit work, we did not find evidence that the criteria you identified, labeled “Progressives,” were used by the IRS to select potential political cases during the 2010 to 2012 timeframe we audited,” Inspector General J. Russell George said.

To date, leaked transcripts from House interviews of IRS Cincinnati employees portray an environment of unclear guidelines and uneven management, rather than a concerted, politically motivated effort.

Along with conservative and small-government tax-exempt applicants, IRS officials in Cincinnati also flagged groups whose applications contained words like "progressive," "occupy," "medical marijuana," and Israel. The final BOLO list from April contained the search term "Green Energy Organizations."

It sounds like the IRS was targeting tax cheats ... and then auditing them!  This makes Watergate look like jay-walking!

The only reason there were more tbaggers on that small list is because that is what the weasel Issa asked for, only tbagger lists.

Not surprising that a moron like you would be surprised that Issa got what he asked for from the IRS, a list that would help you neo-cons continue on in your victimhood of self-delusion.

    Nice try:

The IRS office in Cincinnati which decides whether to exempt such groups from income tax singled out 72 of them for scrutiny because they were openly affiliated with the Tea Party movement, together with 24 others whose names included associated labels such as "patriot".

However a further 226 other political groups were also placed in the same review whose affiliations were not immediately apparent from their name alone, which is often the case among liberal campaign groups.

Face it - the IRS scandal was a crock of sh1t.  The Benghazi scandal was a crock of sh1t whose narrative changed and still changes every five minutes.  And the only people who cared about the AP and Fox News battling Justice Dept over-reach were the AP and Fox News.  Your tri-fecta of bigger-than-watergate scandals turned out to be more GOP crying over nothing.

Democrats on the House Ways and Means Committee released 15 lists of terms that the IRS agency used and has provided to congressional investigators. Some of the lists, which evolved over time, used the terms "Progressive" and "Tea Party" and others including "Medical Marijuana," ''Occupied Territory Advocacy," ''Healthcare legislation," ''Newspaper Entities" and "Paying National Debt."

The lists were dated between August 2010 and April 2013 — the month before the IRS targeting of conservative groups was revealed. They ranged from 11 pages to 17 pages but were heavily blacked out to protect sensitive taxpayer information.

You have no idea how ignorant and partisan you are do you?

It wasnt about denying? It is about delaying targetted groups adding scrutiny and then using the information obtained from them to go after others

This is big and not going away regardless of how much you try to downplay it!

So far, all the reports from the IG concerning the 'targeting' of tpers were done at the direct request of Issa and the GOP to limit it to those groups so as to create the appearance of a scandal.

    lol, really?

So the agents that admitted it were lying? and what about those that are refusing to testify; why do that?

geez just go away if, you cant be objective.
