Fox Expert: Solar works in Germany because they have a lot more sun than us.

Q. "What was Germany doing correct? Are they just a smaller country, and that made it more feasible?" Carlson asked.
A. "They're a smaller country, and they've got lots of sun. Right? They've got a lot more sun than we do." ... "The problem is it's a cloudy day and it's raining, you're not gonna have it." Sure, California might get sun now and then, Joshi conceded, "but here on the East Coast, it's just not going to work."

Of course, Germany gets about as much sun as Alaska: Far far less than the rest of hte United States.
But hey, if it sounds good...who cares, right?
Solar is librul so it must be wrong.

A made up conversation no doubt. Just like Rush Limbaugh getting kicked out of a Mexican restaurant.
If you aren't smart enough to figure it out, then it's obvious why you are a wingnut:)....

Here are some highlights of Germany's failed solar initiative:
- Despite the massive investment of $130 Billion, solar power accounts for only about 0.3% of Germanyâs total energy.
- Germany is paying about $1,000 per ton of CO2 reduced. The current CO2 price in Europe is $8.
- Defenders of Germanyâs solar subsidies also claim that they have helped to create âgreen jobsâ. In China where the panels are made.
- German citizens now pay the second-highest price for electricity in the developed world.
- Denmark citizens now pay the highest price for electricity because they are the âworld wind-energy champion.
-
Generous solar subsidies were never going to survive in an age of austerity and cheap natural gas. Nowhere is this more apparent than in Germany. Solar energy was supposed to herald a new age of clean energy, and provide thousands of green jobs. But not a single solar manufacturer is expected to survive there. With governments like Italy also ending their tax payer funded bonanzas, the industry is facing total collapse, globally.
A massive glut of manufacturing capacity - the solar industry sold only 40% of its total solar module capacity last year - is driving down prices. Price falls may be good for power plants, but given the technology's limitations it is doubtful whether prices will ever drop low enough to make solar a viable energy option without government subsidies.
This is because shale gas has upended the economics of electricity, in the U.S. and elsewhere. Renewable energies just can't compete, but none less than solar.

Unlike you I don't believe every thing that a moonbat posts here. It is not a matter of whether I agree with it or not, I am just calling you on spurious bs that gets posted to make sure it is real because sometimes it isn't
Backtrack much?
Here was the entirety of your 'evaluation' of the facts:

just another moonbat lie.
It's really all you ever do. Someone posts something factual. Without any proof that it is false you (1) call them a liar, (2) call them a moonbat, (3) refer to Obama bum kissing.
An anti-personality disorder wrapped around a nasty fetish. Congratulations.
But, pray tell, what falsehoods have I posted masquerading as facts?
Is this where you consider "Act of terror" to be different than "terrorist attack" and call the speaker a "liar" in the hopes that it will make the transcript slip out of existence?

One it the sun in Germent, the other is that solar can't work on the east coast because we do not get enough sun. How did your "experts" miss that? It's pretty clear they do not know how solar and other renewable sources actually work.
Trying to out-stupid skeeter? Not sure what kind of joke you think you're telling, but....

I will take the Fox expert over the CNN expert:
CNN anchor Deb Feyerick asked Saturday afternoon if an approaching asteroid, which will pass by Earth on February 15, “is an example of, perhaps, global warming?”
Moments earlier, before an ad break, she segued from the Northeast blizzard to a segment with Bill Nye “the science guy,” by pointing to global warming: “Every time we see a storm like this lately, the first question to pop into a lot of people’s minds [low information liberal minds, anyway] is whether or not global warming is to blame? I’ll talk to Bill Nye, ‘the science guy,’ about devastating storms and climate change.”

I don't know if this is true but I will assume it is:
1. What you term a CNN "expert" is a "CNN anchor" according to what you posted.
2. Therefore, while that would be one of the most idiotic questions I've ever heard, it's not quite as bad as someone who puts themselves forward as an "expert" and Fs up basic fact: that on average, most of America gets something like 50-70% more sunshine than Germany.

So smart they can't figure out how renewable/alternative energies really work but that doesn't stop them from proclaiming the superior intelligence.
You forgot to call me a liar and moonbat. Also lacked of reference to your fantasies about people's mouths on Obama's buttocks....

Here are some highlights of Germany's failed solar initiative:
I like how you threw some actual facts into this thread that were studiously ignored.
The problem with the idiot Fox "expert' is not that he thinks Germany is a sunny place, the real problem is that he failed to point out that the much of the green initialtive in Europe and elsewhere has been a monumental failure. It continues to exist because of massive subsidies by socialist leaning governments that refuse to recognize reality.

The lady in question is a business analyst, and clearly out of her element when it comes to geography. That doesn't make the CNN moron any smaaatuh though, that was one of the dumbest things ever said on cable news... at least since Rick Sanchez got fired.

Hey! Found another geography genius, this time from MSNBC:
JULIAN EPSTEIN: When it comes to making comments on choosing staff, Dick Cheney is the national gargoyle. He was the only guy ever in charge of a VP selection process who ended up choosing himself. But, you know, the hypocrisy here is just mind-blowing. Here is: a guy going after two decorated war veterans who himself had five determents; who was quoted in the papers as saying when it came to his own military service that he had better things to do; a guy who lied us into war in Iraq; a guy who mismanaged the effort in Afghanistan by ignoring it a great deal of the time; a guy on whose watch 9/11 occurred.
I mean, here is a guy that had, a guy who failed to get Osama bin Laden in Bora Bora. Here is a guy who had so many failures on his watch in foreign policy going after two decorated war veterans and an administration record that's been extraordinarily successful not just in Iraq, Afghanistan, in going after al Qaeda, and getting Osama bin Laden. I mean, it is just mind-blowing how hypocritical and out of touch these guys are, and listening to Dick Cheney give you advice on foreign policy, I mean, that is a new, that is just a new low.
I'm sure WDYWN will be by to tell me that the morons over at Fox are so much more stupid than the morons at CNN and MSNBC for some reason or another.

More science illiteracy, this time from 'science expert' Bill Nye.
From the Washington Post:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/capital-weather-gang/post/bill-nye-the-science-guy-fumbles-storm-explainer/2013/02/11/685cdd04-7465-11e2-95e4-6148e45d7adb_blog.html
To educate viewers on the science of the recent mega-blizzard that socked New England, MSNBC’s Craig Melvin brought onto his program noted “science guy” Bill Nye . What followed was the one of the most flawed discussions of meteorology I’ve ever seen on a national network.
In likening the blizzard and hurricane Sandy, Nye implies both storms originated off the coast from Africa, which is wrong. Sandy formed in the Caribbean (not from an African wave) and the blizzard formed off the Mid-Atlantic coast (from the merger of two North American disturbances).
Nye then draws an absurd comparison between East Coast storms and West Coast storms in an attempt to equate them.
“If you live on the West Coast ... that same type of storm is called a Sou’wester,” Nye says. “If you go to the sailboat store you can get a Nor’easter hat in New England but it’s a Sou’wester hat in Seattle.”
Big problem: storms typically hit Seattle from the west not from the south. They don’t form off the Pacific coast of Los Angeles or San Francisco and charge northward. Until hearing Nye speak, I had never encountered the term “Sou’wester” in reference to a West Coast storm (a google search reveals there is an apartment complex and a lodge with such a name in the region - but I couldn’t find a meteorological reference).
Thank you for sharing your expertise Mr. Science Guy!

This is too easy, from librul genius Chris Matthews:
CHRIS MATTHEWS: Job opening in the House Science Committee. The position of chairman of that committee will be up for grabs when the current chairman steps down from the post. Three Republicans have said they want the job. But based on the lineup you might think they're vying for a post on the House Anti-science Committee. The contenders are, first Lamar Smith, who's accused the media of skewing "in favor of global warming alarmists." Then there's Jim Sensenbrenner. He offered this nugget on the subject of global warming back in 2009. Quote, "I personally believe that the solar flares are more responsible for climatic cycles than anything that human beings do." Scientists, by the way, disagree with the Member. Anyway, facing off against these two, there's Dana Rohrabacher, who asked this question at a U.N. Hearing on climate change, quote, "is there some thought being given to subsidizing the clearing of rainforests in order for some countries to eliminate that production of greenhouse gases?" Well, as we all learned in grammar school—younger people watching—trees absorb carbon monoxide. What could be more counterproductive, Congressman Rohrabacher, than chopping down entire rainforests. Anyway, regardless of which of the bunch gets the chairmanship, they're evidently not looking for, well, they're not exactly looking up—things aren't looking up for the Science Committee.
No wonder he believes whole heartedly in 'global warming.'
