I'm with Skeeter.  The heck with the free market.  Obama should step in and set the price of gas.  Put a cap on it.

Gas should be free. Why should I have to pay for the gas in my car  to go pick up my free contraceptives?

doesn't make sense.  It is either all free, or nothing is free.

Skeeter - you do realize that whole free contraception thing isn't about free contraception?  Its about the insurance a woman pays for covering birth control pills.  The key phrase is "a woman pays for".  See, it's not free because they pay for it.

Women pay for it?  The rest of us pay for it, i.e. free to the user.

I need gas.  I think the government should pay for it, i.e. free to me.

You know it occurs to me:  when everyone is required to have health insurance, it is no longer insurance, but socialised medicine by a different name.  this is why things like free contraception makes so much sense to you.

How come it wasn't socialist when Romney did it..? How come no one is up in arms over all the other preventative services that insurers must cover? Why is it a bad idea for insurance companies to cover preventative services 100%..especially when it is the BEST way to lower long term health care costs. Finally..how come so many men feel that contraception is "the woman's problem"?

BTW...the government already subsidizes your gas. Without all the governmentsubsidies to the industry..we'd all be paying closer to $10 a gallon for gas.

Who are these men you're meeting? I don't know any guy who feels contraception is the "woman's problem". That being said...shouldn't you want to protect yourself anyway? I know if I could get pregnant I certainly wouldn't rely on the other person for me not getting pregnant. Anyone relying on the other person to keep from getting pregnant is a fr!gg!n moron.

Pink..I agree with you. I wouldn't trust the other person with something like that and am always responsible for myself in that regard...but my point is that contraception is really a couples issue..not solely a woman's issue and the posters on this site who are against insurance coverage for contraception are saying things like "women want this..women want that..." when really it should be "couples want this..couples want that..".
If a man doesn't want to become a father..then contraception should be an equally important issue to him and oral contraception is the MOST reliable way of avoiding pregnancy ( aside from surgical sterilization). These things should not be solely the responsibility of the woman.

Quit whining. The rest of the world pays a lot more then we do. They also drive more fuel efficient cars. My brother pays around $11.40 a gallon for petro.
