    Hey! Unemployment is UP again!

Can't wait to see the smiley face the White House puts on this.

Pretty lame for a recession that ended, what?  Three years ago?

Glad we got that rate down for the election.

Why won't Republicans in Congress approve of a new Jobs Bill?

Republicans passed somethign like thirty jobs bills last year, but, they came from republicans, so the senate and Obama ignored them.  They won't work, anyways.

But, do oyuu mean a democrat jobs bill, i.e.  throw a bunch of tax dollars at unions?  That won't work either.  Government is not the solution wiht jobs, it is the problem.  If that isn't clear to everyone, then they are not listening.

What works is government getting out of the way.

OK.  So perhaps we should start by doing as our Founding Fathers suggested by not having a standing army.  We can dissolve the Pentagon and military industrial complex and, if your belief is correct, this should be a great start to solving the problem.

Skeeter types only want to shrink the non-military government.

If they were serious about debt and defecits, they would want to shrink the military too.

The military represents a jobs program for the Republican hillbilly base in the heartland as well a way for the GOP to wave the flag while trolling for votes among the poorly educated red states where job opportunities are limited.

When Republicans aren't lowering taxes to blow up the the national budget, they're exploding the deficit through defense dollars paid military contractors, weapons programs, new unneeded ships, and an endless expansion of military bases around the globe.

The GOP hasn't been serious about the budget since Ronald Reagan taught impressionable, math-challenged America that deficits don't matter.

    100% spot on.

There simply is nothing of principle in that party.

Re: Hey! Unemployment is UP again!

According to the latest survey data of the Pew Research Center, in 2011, contrary to the Left’s malicious caricature of the Right as uneducated, stupid, dopey rednecks, it turns out Republicans are more knowledgeable than Democrats!

Timothy H. Lee reports for the Center for Individual Freedom, March 22 2012, that this latest survey by the left-of-center Pew Research Center only reaffirms previous surveys finding the same result.

In fact, the gap in knowledge between Republicans and Democrats isn’t even close.

In a scientific survey of 1,168 adults conducted during September and October of 2011, respondents were asked not only multiple-choice questions, but also queries using maps, photographs and symbols.  Among other subjects, participants identified international leaders, cabinet members, Supreme Court justices, nations on a world map, the current unemployment and poverty rates and war casualty totals.

In a 2010 Pew survey, Republicans outperformed Democrats on 10 of 12 questions, with one tie and Democrats outperforming Republicans on just 1 of the 12.  In the latest survey, however, Republicans outperformed Democrats on every single one of 19 questions.

According to a New York Times headline dated April 14, 2010, “Poll Finds Tea Party Backers Wealthier and More Educated.”  Shattering widespread myths, that survey revealed that Tea Party supporters were more likely to possess a college degree than their counterparts (23% to 15%), and also more likely to have completed post-graduate studies (14% to 10%).  Tea Partiers were also more likely to have completed “some college” by a 33% to 28% margin, and substantially less likely to have not completed high school than non-supporters (3% versus 12%), or to possess only a high school degree (26% versus 35%).

Those results will probably come as a rude awakening to supporters of Barack Obama, but it won’t to anyone paying attention.

LuserLame99 is going to have real problem with this.  His/her existence is based solely on the lie-myth that "Wascully Wepublicans are stoooopid".  He/she knows cuz some of them may live in the South.

Those numbers come as no surprise.  The GOPs days are numbered.  All they have left is the deep south and parts of the midwest.  Texas is even predicted to be a battleground state in 2016.   Hillary Clinton is just over the horizon, ready to destroy Marco Rubio or any other GOP 'savior'.

Republicans are not the party of Linclon, Eisenhower, Nixon or anyone else.  They are now a fringe party surviving by gerrymandering.
