Football has the most income. Natural for them to balance it so no taxes are paid on the income.

    My Alabama > 128 Mil > spent almost 128 mil. 0 taxes

Sports is a tool for a lot of Schools.  profess get paid to do task.

How much money did Profess  Warren Hauntus get at Haveayard.

No, I don't think "we" wingnuts said that.  I think we said it doesn't get paid with our tax dollars, so it is none of our business.  And I don't think when we said such things that we had universities in mind.  Universities are hybrid institutions.

Now, state schools, that's our business.  It is paid with tax dollars, in part.

Agreed, which is why I don't get the reasoning of a self-described tbagger complaining about private university salaries.

I thought their meme was less gov't intrusion... yada, yada, yada ... and more free enterprise.

Seeing that we rare on the verge of civility, can you drop the tbagger reference? Makes you sound, well, bitter and elitist.

universities are a strange category: private enterprises that for the most part depend on federal grants, and s government funded student loans.

get rid of the grants and government funded student loans and university salaries will fall back in line with the 99%, not the 1%-ers that they are now.

    dumb redneck

72% low income Alabama who qualified for food stamps  declined, they would care for themselves. Dumb redneck family pride

not smart like them dogchester boys #cats

Well that would mean that virtually the entire state of 'Bama is eligible for SNAP.

Currently they are number 4 on the list of states with the highest percentage of people on SNAP at 20%.

Add that to your 72% and you get 92% of the state in poverty.

That's redneck economics for ya...  race to the bottom.

And by the by... it's approx. 46 million people on SNAP or less than 15% of the population.

15% of our country is on SNAP? That's criminal. It sould be 1 or 2 percent tops.  This country is awash with inexpensive and free food.  No need to take more money from taxpayers to fund this. Largely abused program.
