By their actions, the House Republicans have clearly demonstrated that they believe that they are above the law. What's keeping them from defunding any law that they don't like? We often hear from opponents of ACA that it will lead us to the "slippery slope" towards socialism. By their actions, the House Republicans have placed us on the slippery slope to anarchy.

So when the inevitable train wreck occurs with ObamaCare, are the Democrats going to continue to try to say ,

"ObamaCare was based on Republican ideas ...RomneyCare is similar , this is bipartisan, blah blah blah..."

Sorry. The GOP has voted 40 times to kill this monster. No Republican voted for it.

    The Democrats own it !!!

Too bad the bill doesn't really de-fund anything substantially related to Obamacare.

And when Sen. Cruz threw cold water on it, the house repubs threw another temper tantrum and played the victim card, saying they felt "bullied".

The GOP will do anything to hold the nation hostage and/or sabotage the most significant health care insurance reform in 40 years.

Indeed.  Less than a year ago, we held our Presidential election. One candidate ran on a campaign of "repealing Obamacare on day 1".  The other candidate ran on the benefits of the law.  The American people have spoken, and the Supreme Court has spoken.

    Heh.

If the GOP really thought that way, they would let it go and watch it fail.  If they're so sure in their estimation of failure, then there's no risk, right?

Instead, the GOPers are scared to death that the law will continue to work as it's been, the americans who benefit will continue to like it, and they will go down on record as the faction who opposed it every step of the way and did nothing to improve it.

As with iraq, gay marriage, immigration, etc., they just love being on the wrong side of history.  Why is anyone's guess....

Less than a year ago, the American people also elected a Republican House of Representatives, obviously to put a limit on liberal recklessness.

Leftists believe History marches inevitably Left,  toward more and more Big Government control of all aspects of our lives and less individual freedom.
    Wrong.

History proves that on those and other issues, it certainly does 'march Left'...

...which, to fringe conservatives like you and the tee partee, means "to the Center".

Did they?  Nation-wide, house Dem candidates received 1.4 million more votes in 2012 than their GOP opponents.  Gerry-mandering is the real voter fraud.

Or the GOP is relentless in their efforts to unshackle us from this debacle of a bill and killing of our imperfect but, very good healgthcare system that 85% wanted to keep before the DNC shoved a bill through even when they admitted they had no idea what was in it!

Not only was the GOP majority elected by a minor of the voters, but they refuse to permit ANY votes on legislation that is not supported by at least a scant majority of the representatives of that gerrymandered minority acting like a majority.

When you crunch the numbers, it turns out that the part of the government that is supposed to be most directly representative of the voters is actually representing roughly half of half of half of the voters, or about 12.5%.

I'm calling BS on this number - there's no way 85% of americans were satisfied in any poll before Obamacare.  What's the source?

You forgot all of the people who went without or couldn't afford insurance and were decidedly NOT happy with the current mediocre system.

Either you leave those people out in the cold, or you let them in.  Which is it going to be...??

Note: it's not a bill, it's the law.  And the GOP can't repeal this law any more then they can de-fund the entitlement portions of it without changing it first.

You ignore that with this "law" there will still be 10's of millions don't have healthcare! It will just be more expensive, restrictive and lower quality now.

Again, nobody said it would be perfect, but try we must...or else surrender our souls to market conditions.

It would be MORE expensive, MORE restrictive and even LOWER quality without the law...

... as well as terribly inefficient, elitist and a poor value for the money.

No, the people didnt change their minds; they have always opposed the real ObamaCare.

They unfortunately believed Obama's blatant falsehoods told during the 2008 campaign. In 2012, Obama said little about his 'signature' legislative accomplishment. And he was lucky to have Mr RomneyCare as his opponent.
