Indiana Dep. AG a conservative republican says USE LIVE AMMO Against Wisconsin Protesters

This is your teapublican party members today folks. He wants Americans killed if need be to stop them from their constitutional right of freedom to assemble to shut them up. The right wing leaders makes their followers proud .

This week, a Mother Jones editor named Adam Weinstein got into a Twitter tête à tête with an Indiana lawyer who called on riot police in Madison to use "live ammunition" to clear protesters out of the state Capitol.

It turned out that lawyer, Jeff Cox, is a deputy attorney general in the state. And -- perhaps unsurprisingly -- he's left a long online trail of controversial statements and diktats.

"[A]gainst thugs physically threatening legally-elected state legislators & governor?" he tweeted back at Weinstein. "You're damn right I advocate deadly force."

Six days ago he opined, "Planned Parenthood could help themselves if the only abortions they performed were retroactive."

And on his personal blog, Pro Cynic (now deleted), he compared former Clinton Labor Secretary Robert Reich to a Nazi, and concluded that George W. Bush's words to the Iraqi people -- "Your enemy is not surrounding your country, your enemy is ruling your country" -- are appropriate for citizens of America under Barack Obama, among other inflammatory statements.

Bryan Corbin, a spokesman for the Attorney General's office told Mother Jones "We do not condone any comments that would threaten or imply violence or intimidation toward anyone." Corbin did not respond to an inquiry Wednesday morning. I subsequently tried to reach Cox directly but was redirected back to Corbin's office

It's worth noting that there are over 140 deputy attorneys general in Indiana. It's a career job, not a political appointment. And Cox last tweeted just after midnight on Monday, more than 48 hours ago. You can see screencaps of them below.

..and just what is your issue?

REAL Change we can believe in.

A case of the minority (not racial) holding the majority hostage.

    Cool huh?

A public official suggests physical violence against citizens demonstrating their constitutional right to assembly, and a resident wingnut doesn't even know what the issue is.

Par for the course for the tee partee frauds who wouldn't know the constitution if it was printed on their placemat at Denny's.  If they weren't so unfriendly, they might have been allowed to join in the union, too.

Instead, for them, it's just another round on the wrong side of history.

Hey that's a good idea, lets kill those working people who are protesting to maintain their professional ability to have some say in their workplace policies.

KILL THEM WITH LIVE AMMO UNTIL THEY DIE JUST LIKE IN LIBYA.

US Representative Michael E. Capuano, who decried violent political rhetoric after last month’s fatal shooting rampage in Tucson, said today he regrets urging union workers at a rally in Boston on Tuesday to “get a little bloody.”

At least he apologized.  Has Mr. Cox offered the same...?

This is besides the fact that it's quite different (though still dumb and unacceptable) to encourage action on the part of protesters who have a beef with their government (et tu, tee partee?) versus encouraging the government to crack down, police-state style, on said protesters.

Do these folks even listen to their own rhetoric??

Not surprised the nuance is completely lost on you and why what they said are not equivalent. "Your people" want a police/gov't crackdown; "my people" want workers' rights.

Maybe I would vote for Cox (a state employee) if he apologized, but his overall pathology does not look good...even if we're dealing in hypotheticals such as your pretense to care about the rights of workers to organize or bargain collectively.

And given the chance, you would vote to blow them away on the steps of the capitol.

At least we understand each other....

The Assistant AG has been fired, what should we do about Capuano?

Does saying one is sorry make it OK?  No, it is statements like this that demonstrate the underliying feeling individuals have.

Your people, my people...doesn't matter which side they represent, or who was fired or not or who apolgized or didn't apoligize.  Public officials have openly and very clearly suggested violence is the answer.  That is patently unacceptible every way you look at it, nothing can be said to justify such stupidity.

Yes.  Capuano was wrong.  He apologized almost immediately.  If voters choose to oust him for it, then he deserves it.

However, the equivalence argument still stands, and Capuano doesn't have nearly the history of incendiary remarks that this DAG had even after two decades in elected public office.

Re: Indiana Dep. AG a conservative republican says USE LIVE AMMO Against Wisconsin Protesters

Capuano may have apologized but not before things got ugly.
There is a report that someone in the crowd was roughed up by a couple of union members. When the person went to report this to a police officer standing by, the officer did nothing. Then a union boss came by with the two thugs and told the person they beat up that if he did file a report, they'd have his name and address.

Not for nothing, but if this isn't intimidation, I don't know what is.
Just goes to show there are people on both sides who will stop at nothing to get their way.

I would say that if you're going to point a gun at someone, point it at the dems to fled across state lines to avoid a vote. That's nothing short of dereliction of duty in my book, and if they don't want the job anymore, they should be stripped of their titles and all power given to them by the people who voted them in.
You do not govern by running away. You do not solve problems by running away. You face them and deal with them. Some you will win. Some you will lose, but better to lose and keep things running than to let a situation sit, possibly long enough to shut the entire system down.

    Telling.
    Some things never change.
And they call themselves 'public' workers?

It is an US vs. THEM.
Maybe the republican push truly is a fight for the working middle class against the public corrupt 'secret' protected class.
