Interesting fact about negotiations: If you really want compromise dont start with DEMANDS!!

You can have your standards and minimum stances but, is only dialog is not conducive in negotiating if, you want the other party to feel that you really want to work it out.

In business and politics; if, you dont really care if a deal is reached; then open up with " these are my demands you must agree too before we can even start negotiating a compromise"!

you offend the other side and they will now be thinking of their own demands from a defensive position which you do not want!!

Its called LEADERSHIP and knowing how to do it!!

Let's go over the cliff Obama doesn't want  compromise if he did he would be involved.

He would lead like a leader should.

Biden would be working with the senate instead of shopping in costco.

They have no intention in curbing spending.

The Republicans SHOULD and WILL walk away!!

CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER: It's not just a bad deal, this is really an insulting deal. What Geithner offered, what you showed on the screen, Robert E. Lee was offered easier terms at Appomattox, and he lost the Civil War. The Democrats won by 3% of the vote and they did not hold the House, Republicans won the house. So this is not exactly unconditional surrender, but that is what the administration is asking of the Republicans.

This idea -- there are not only no cuts in this, there's an increase in spending with a new stimulus. I mean, this is almost unheard of. What do they expect? They obviously expect the Republicans will cave on everything. I think the Republicans ought to simply walk away. The president is the president. He's the leader. They are demanding that the Republicans explain all the cuts that they want to make.

We had that movie a year-and-a-half ago where Paul Ryan presented a budget, a serious real budget with real cuts. Obama was supposed to gave speech where he would respond with a counter offer. And what did he do? He gave a speech where he had Ryan sitting in the front row. He called the Ryan proposal un-American, insulted him, offered nothing, and ran on Mediscare in the next 18 months.

And they expect the Republicans are going to do this again? The Republicans are going to walk on this. And I think they have leverage. Yes, for Congressional Democrats it will help them in the future if Republicans absorb the blame because we will have a recession. But Obama is not running again unlike the Congressional Democrats. He's going to have a recession, 9% unemployment, 2 million more unemployed, and a second term that's going to be a ruin. That is not a good proposition if you are Barack Obama.

Compromise is not a word you could use to describe Obama.

These are the types of compromise that the Republicans received during the Obama-care debate.

Behind closed doors so the public cannot see what is taking place.

    The Nuclear option.

    My way or the highway.

Obama's compromise=no entitlement spending cuts, raise taxes or the cliff.

The corrupt media puts all the compromise expectations on the Republicans, no mention on any of the networks of spending cuts by the democrat party or Obama.

You mean like "absolutely no revenue increases" and "if you want to raise the debt ceiling, there will be a price" ?

Or is it just when Obama reiterates what he won a second term on?

    President lame duck.

Best thing that could happen is Obama's agenda fails.

Wait until the obama-care taxes kick in and the Bush tax cuts expire.

The middle class is about to get hammered.

We'll see what happens in the mid-term election in 2014.

4 years of a lame duck.

But he will try to run around congress to enact legislation.
