Romney's done. What he did today was just plain wrong. He was out of line. He showed the entire country that he's not equipped to be the President.

What should Obama have done to avert these attacks? Get specific. Vague hatred is not enough. -

How about showing a little backbone. How about arming the consulate (whatever happened to the marines that were supposed to be on station, one wonders?). How about allowing the marines, or even the diplomats, to fire back.
You should have a right to defend yourself, and in a place like that you have to. Obama should be supporting them with the defense capabilities to survive such an attack, and in this case it seems things were a little too coordinated for the enemy for this to be a spure of the moment attack.
I say this was a hit, and Obama needs to hit back, and in such a way that it will make the terrorist think twice before trying again.

Yeah pointing out that it was wrong for the Whitehouse to apologize to Muslim mob who stormed our Embassy compound and ripped down the Stars and Stripes won't get him any liberal or democrats votes in November.
You guys are spending too much time watching tingles on MSNBC come on up for air.

After his concession speech, hopefully Mitt leaves politics for good. He is no public servant, and has no appreciation for the complexities of these foreign matters. You would think that he would have at least picked up some level of sophistication by now.
Mitt should just go make some more money and leave the rest of us alone. Go saddle some more companies with debt, layoff the workers, and sell their assets.....it's what he's good at.

Will be interesting to see how the left and the corrupt media spin the Obama screw-ups in Egypt and Libya both this week and in the very near future.
How is the Arba Spring working out so far?
The stupid democrats thought the Muslims would love them for giving them independence.
Bunch of incompetant not ready for prime time idiots.

Shift and deflect.
Romney's statement shows clearly why the Democrats cannot be trusted with the defense and foreign policy of this country. The Democrats, and more specifically Obama and Hillary, have completely bungled their "arab Spring" initiative.
Try as you might pin this to Romney, Bush, who ever, Obama owns this, and it has failed miserably. those who know abot these things said it woudl fail from the start, because it was an incredibly STUPID foriegn policy.
Romney reminded us, in his statement, what a real president says, and it is not a thinly vieled promise to censor free speech when it offends the off their rocker radical islamists. -

While it's not over until after election day..and I still wouldn't make a prediction..this gaffe by Romney is just another indication that he may not be the person for the job.
I was out of the news loop yesterday and last night..but I am hearing the back and forth statements and the coverage this morning.
First, Romney spoke before he had the facts..that is a bad quality in a leader and in a President.
Second, Romney should have waited for Obama to speak on the matter and then made his statement. The fact that Romney pre-empted the President on this matter..and didn't have the facts..shows an impatience in him that is ..again..not a good quality in a President.
In situations like this..patience and restraint are paramount. Libya and Egypt are democracies in their infancy and events like this are reminders of just how vulnerable new democracies are. -

To add.. something Romney left out of his statement yesterday..was that the Embassy statement was issued hours before the attacks began. Given that context and given that the statement was subsequently retracted by the Embassy after the administration disavowed it...then Romney's statement to the press is even more outrageous. Even the war monger..John McCain thinks Romney was out of line.

Obviously, shooting before the facts is a trait with the right. We have only to look at the Hillary discussion in this forum to see that the Righties don't care for facts.

Wow, Rasmussen was able to take a poll reflecting the pulse of the country over Libya and publish the poll in 24 hours. Must be very acurrate. If Rasmussen has Romney up by 1, the real world by be leaning heavily for Obama.
Romney's done. It's over.
