Its very very easy to balance the budget

I could do it in a few minutes.

    1. Eliminate the ridiculous and UN-affordable bush tax cut to ONLY the wealthiest 1%.  Why obama didn't eliminate this is incredibley stupid.  This tax cut is insane and unaffordable.  Why do we want to give billionares more money. The trickle down effect is complete BS, what's trickling down.  Why do you want to give some guy making $25 mill a year a tax cut at a time like this????

    2. Get out of the stupid wars in iraq and afghanistan.  Not only did bush lie to go to war, but he totally botched the wars themselves and could not win 2 wars against 3rd world countries????  Why are we fighting these wars???  If obama pulls out then the repubs will say he's soft on terror.  If obama intelligently and victoriously launches air strikes against libya repubs attack him.  Whatever obama does republicans will attack him.

    3. Stop subsidies for big oil.  Why are we giving huge tax cuts to big oil when they are pulling down record profits???  Oh yeah they donated millions through lobbyists to republicans.  Republicans are just too coozy with big oil.

    4. Cut pork barrel military programs.  We waste so much money on useless weapons systems and military spending.  We need big cuts on these useless prgrams

Very simple these 4 moves could save our country hundreds of billions of dollars.  Instead of fighting to cut a few million from PBS why not make real cuts???  Obamas big problem is that he won't stand up to republican idiocy.  Bush has ruined our country so we need to stop all bush policies and reverse them.  This would be a great start.

uhh you missed some small ones..
Cut the size and empowerment of the federal government. They NEVER did anything effectively.
Get rid of Obamas sneaky and illegal attempt to shift to socialism through HCR.
Get rid of the illegals. Hundreds of billions go to supporting people who have no right being here.

Your first point is fine, the devil is in the details.  The healthcare plan is neither "sneaky", "illegal" or "socialism".  That is just a politcal diatribe posing as a financial statement.  And the cost of finding, processing and deporting 10 million illegals cannot be underestimated.

And do you support tax cuts in a time of massive red ink?    You ducked his central point.

How much money will be gained by raising taxes on the wealthiest 1%? Can you answer this with googling???

Weren't we supposed to be out of both of those places by now? At least according to what we were told by Obama anyways. I agree we should be out of both. But it isn't going to happen anytime soon. Talk to your boy Obama about it.

Um...Dems had two years to cut subsidies to big oil but didn't. Oops!

    4. Cut pork barrel military programs.  We waste so much money on useless weapons systems and military spending.  We need big cuts on these useless prgrams

How much money do we waste? And which weapons systems do you find useless? Can you answer these questions without googling???

Let's just agree to disagree. HCR was rammed through Congress, politicians were paid off, no disclosure to the public (a solemn promise) and nobody knows how high the impact to the taxpayers will be. Or perhaps they do and elect not to tell us.

The cost (education, health care, criminal, food, shelter...) of supporting millions (10 may be a smidge low) for generations DOES outweigh the one time expense of bus tickets.
Not a hardazz, the incentive for our amigos to leave needs to originate from industry and business. Severe penalties for hiring illegals will initiate jobs drying up. Not an easy pill for businesses or government but the end does justify the means.

The government only has one source of income. Tax cuts defeat the mission of living within our means. I prefer to see the waste addressed. Surely there is quite enough waste.
