    Liberalism Is Killing CNN

CNN is about to face massive layoffs, its ratings in the basement. But no matter -- the liberalism will still reign supreme.

Over at the TimeWarner-owned CNN the progressive anchorman Don Lemon was recently arguing with a conservative by redefining the definition of an automatic weapon;  the network was running a written lynch-mob style piece demanding "Where's Officer Darren Wilson?",  and at CNN.com  it posted a contributor who asked, in the aftermath of the beheading of journalist James Foley, Should we call ISIS ‘evil'?

And not to be outdone is Jeff Zucker, the head of CNN himself. No, he sniffed a while back.“We’re not going to be shamed” into covering the Benghazi hearings. To underline his point Zucker disdained rival Fox News by saying: “I think we all know what’s going on there. The Republican Party is being run out of News Corp. headquarters [and] masquerading as a channel.”

Now comes the results of years of doing this kind of thing at CNN . Here’s the headline from the New York Daily News:

CNN chief Jeff Zucker and parent company Time Warner say layoffs could be ahead;, trailing Fox News in ratings, faces cutbacks but seeks to protect new programs that are part of a turnaround plan....

What is remarkable here is the obsession with liberalism even if it comes down to a question of survival. Given a choice of going the straight fair-and-balanced route ,  the response is journalistic suicide.

So now here come the layoffs at CNN. Will CNN change direction? Of course not. Their financial, circulation and ratings life blood draining away, loser CNN is still as scornful of its winning competitor,  Fox.....

No worries, all the CNN leftist commentators and liberal journalists  will just get jobs at taxpayer-funded NPR, where ratings absolutely dont matter !

     trailing Fox News in ratings

As mighty as your efforts were in highlighting the poopy-on-libs part of yet another one of your mindless copy/paste job were, I cannot fathom why you would highlight these two bits in succession.

Are you claiming that if Fox has higher ratings than CNN, the CNN guy must be wrong to say that Fox is a Republican mouthpiece?

Are you saying CNN and Fox are both mouthpieces and Fox is simply the better one?

Or do you just go spastic and start highlighting at random whenever you see something negative about libruls?

I think what conservatives are failing to realize is that sitting in front of a tv and waiting for news to come to you is a dying paradigm.  CNNs web site is more visited than fox news, and both are badly trailing google & yahoo news, and even huffington post.

80% of Fox's viewers are over 55.  It's a lot like investing heavily in oil right now, or word-processors, or racism.  The world and the country are changing quickly.  Your strategy is very short-sighted.

Your strategy is to sit around and wait for old Republicans to die?  OK....meanwhile young Democrats are growing older and wiser....

Young people have always been more liberal....the old cliche is true: "if one isnt a liberal at 20, one has no heart...if one isnt a conservative at age 40, one has no brains..."

That quote is widely attributed to Winston Churchill, who also said this ...

“The discoveries of healing science must be the inheritance of all. That is clear: Disease must be attacked, whether it occurs in the poorest or the richest man or woman simply on the ground that it is the enemy; and it must be attacked just in the sane way as the fire brigade will give its full assistance to the humblest cottage as readily as to the most important mansion….Our policy is to create a national health service in order to ensure that everybody in the country, irrespective of means, age, sex, or occupation, shall have equal opportunities to benefit from the best and most up-to-date medical and allied services available.”

I think conservatism had a different meaning for him than it does for you.

As proven by viewership numbers of two news sources? Really? That's what your "brains" tell you?

Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy;  its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.--Churchill

Disraeli , not Churchill, first said the quote about 20 and 40 yr olds... lefties shouldnt quote Winston, he wasnt a fan of your collectivism, saying all of the following...

"Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the State."

"Government of the duds, by the duds, and for the duds."

"No socialist system can be established without a political police."

"Socialism is the philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy."

"It is not alone that property, in all its forms, is struck at, but that liberty, in all its forms, is challenged by the fundamental conceptions of socialism."

"'All men are created equal' says the American Declaration of Independence. 'All men shall be kept equal' say the Socialists."

"Some see private enterprise as a predatory animal to be shot, others look on it as a cow to be milked but a few see it as a sturdy horse pulling a wagon."

"If you destroy a free market, you create a black market."

"The vice of capitalism is that it stands for the unequal sharing of blessings; whereas the virtue of socialism is that it stands for the equal sharing of misery."

"Socialism assails the pre-eminence of the individual."

"The flame of Christian ethics is still our best guide...only on this basis can we reconcile the rights of the individual with the demands of society."

Your quotes highlight the idiocy of equating Obama and modern Dems with socialism.  Do you think a man who championed national health care would call Obamacare Socialism?  Do you think he would a 3% increase to 36% on the top marginal tax rates as socialism when his own country's top rate was 90%?  Or is it more likely that he would think you are a moron?
