    Library Dedication for W

Really good to see him today.  Nice speech.  He was a terrible president but he was Einstein compared to the current loser.  Remember the days when radical jihadists were frightened of the U.S.A.?  Remember $2.00 gas?  People working?  Remember knowing where your president stood, on every issue, even if you disagreed?  Remember the House debating, voting, and sending bills to the Senate?  Remember the Senate debating, voting, and sending bills to the president`s desk and following the actual process?

W is a class act.  Hope Obama learned something today.

George W Bush was a President that ruined nearly everything he touched.

The country never elected him to be President in the first place, but he became a hero to the wealthy and the ill-informed when he derailed the nation's treasury with ludicrous tax cuts, cleared brush while Wall St. swept the economic wealth of the nation into their offshore bank accounts, shredded the Constitution, invaded random countries and professed his relationship with 'God'.

America continues to pay a giant price for the epic disaster known as President George W. Bush.   Putting the words "Bush and Library" in the same sentence is laughable.

The most obvious factor was the stimulus. GDP began to recover immediately after it was implemented. I don't think that was a coincidence.

That was "revised" miraculously after it originally came in at -.5% indicating a quarter of negative GDP meaning the begininng of a recession.  Funny how it mysteriously went to EXACTLY the .5% (the other way) it could go to eek it`s way barely into the positive.  Very similar to the unemployment rate suddenly dropping just under 8% 2 weeks before the election when there were MORE claims filed and MORE dropped out then ever before.

I don't have a 'side' but I do lean left on most issues.

And most of the country still holds Bush responsible for the hole the economy fell into.

According to every poll Americans by far recognizes Bush as the culprit.

    Fox:  Bush 51%  Obama 31%

    Gallup: Bush 68%  Obama 50%

    CNN: Bush 68%  Obama 52%

If those are 'sides' then the GOP is in a world of hurt.

The GOP blames him, too, or didn't anyone notice the big hole in their convention last year where W. should have been...?

By any objective measure, George W. Bush directly impacted the '06 and '08 elections - and indirectly the '12 race - to the detriment of the GOP...who formerly had the White House, Senate and House locked up for 6 years.

Bush deserves credit for attempting to make some important domestic policies a priority and trying to soften the gop's harsh image, but while his heart was in it most of the time, his head was somewhere else.
