Those are some seriously rose-colored glasses you're wearing.

Still waiting for the Left to name one thing that`s better since Obama`s reign of terror started.  I may be wearing glasses but you`re living in dreamworld.

    End of Bush term.

    GDP  -9%

    End of Obama first year

    GDP +4%

    13% turnaround in one year.

    Impressive by any standard.

What was it that Obama himself did to cause such a shift in GDP that quickly?

George W Bush was a President that ruined nearly everything he touched.

The country never elected him to be President in the first place, but he became a hero to the wealthy and the ill-informed when he derailed the nation's treasury with ludicrous tax cuts, cleared brush while Wall St. swept the economic wealth of the nation into their offshore bank accounts, shredded the Constitution, invaded random countries and professed his relationship with 'God'.

America continues to pay a giant price for the epic disaster known as President George W. Bush.   Putting the words "Bush and Library" in the same sentence is laughable.

I believe that the original post didn't ask for particulars but since you asked....

The most obvious factor was the stimulus. GDP began to recover immediately after it was implemented. I don't think that was a coincidence.

You referring to the stimulus package put together by congress? The one where work on the bills started before President Obama officially took office? THAT stimulus???

The GOP blames him, too, or didn't anyone notice the big hole in their convention last year where W. should have been...?

By any objective measure, George W. Bush directly impacted the '06 and '08 elections - and indirectly the '12 race - to the detriment of the GOP...who formerly had the White House, Senate and House locked up for 6 years.

Bush deserves credit for attempting to make some important domestic policies a priority and trying to soften the gop's harsh image, but while his heart was in it most of the time, his head was somewhere else.

He's popular now because everyone is relieved he isn't anywhere near the oval office.

And the fact that it took you 6 years to figure that out and STILL blame him, speaks really well for your side - No - Really!

I don't have a 'side' but I do lean left on most issues.

And most of the country still holds Bush responsible for the hole the economy fell into.

According to every poll Americans by far recognizes Bush as the culprit.

    Fox:  Bush 51%  Obama 31%

    Gallup: Bush 68%  Obama 50%

    CNN: Bush 68%  Obama 52%

If those are 'sides' then the GOP is in a world of hurt.

There are some math issues involved with Gallup and CNN.

It tells us much about why Obama won doesn`t it?  This is one dumb, dumb, country.

    Twice, in fact.

    Just like George W.

It's just too bad that, statistically speaking, the dumkopfs are spread fairly evenly throughout the populace and the political spectrum.

It's also why we have the congress critters we have and why re-election rates are still upwards of 90%.

    Two words: Term Limits

No reason why any sensible voter would be against that, is there...?
