The brazen lie that "Obama saved the auto industry" can be debunked so easily with facts!
Obama at the behest of his union masters, protected the fat pensions of the overpaid union workers, from the normal bankruptcy procedures. Nonunion workers did not get the same protections.

Yes...i'd love to hear Romney 'take Obama to the woodshed' on the best way to manage employee pensions Bain-style, or anything related to the 1.5 million jobs saved by the Auto bailout for that matter.

Re: Obama, Geithner: emails show they drove the destruction of 20,000 GM pensions

Could you cut and paste the section from the article that says that treasury drove the the destruction of 20,000 GM Pensions?  I saw this section...

In another series of emails between PBGC’s John Menke and Karen Morris, Feldman — an Obama administration official — emerges as the facilitator of the Delphi pension termination. Menke wrote of the need to obtain a “rubber stamp” from Treasury Department officials before the cutoff was finalized, and from others who were supposed to be excluded from the decision-making process.

Now, I don't know where you come from, but were I come from, obtaining a "rubber stamp" means that the people providing the rubber stamp have no input and the process is simply to keep people in the loop.

It would be one thing if the flow where the other way - PBGC is giving the rubber stamp on a document from Treasury.  But since Treasury is giving the rubber stemp, then that means Treasury had no say in the manner.

The article was a little difficult to read, which I suspect was done on purpose to make it seem like Treasury forced PBGC to something.  But the 4th from the last paragraph clearly states that Treasury was a rubber stamp on what PBGC was doing.

In the Obama GM bailout, it is obvious.
