OBAMA PINS GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN ON BOEHNER

     — President Barack Obama says House Speaker John Boehner is the only thing standing in the way of reopening the federal government.

Obama is speaking at a small business just outside of Washington on the third day of the shutdown. He says Boehner is preventing a vote on a funding bill because he doesn’t want to anger ‘‘extremists’’ in his party.

The president is calling on Boehner to quickly hold a vote on a bill free of extra demands. The president met with Boehner and other congressional leaders at the White House for more than an hour Wednesday, but no agreement was reached.

Obama says the longer the shutdown goes on, the worse the impact on the U.S. economy will be.

    The Blamer in Chief.

The President has acted as a bystander for 5 years. Talks about Washington as if he doesnt live there.

But it's Obama who has ordered that the shutdown effect and hurt as many people as possible.....except himself of course.

Is anyone else going to the White House this weekend for another star studded gala event?

Re: OBAMA PINS GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN ON BOEHNER

A quotation from an unnamed senior administration official in today's Wall Street Journal explains  a lot.

Said a senior administration official: "We are winning...It doesn't really matter to us" how long the shutdown lasts "because what matters is the end result."

With this view, it explains why President Obama won't agree to any piecemeal legislation that would keep Veterans Affairs and NIH open during the shutdown. And it explains why President Obama would rather cancel his Asia trip than negotiate with Republicans.

It's because the White House (or, at least this unnamed official) believe it is "winning" by shutting down the government and blaming Republicans. And when one's winning, he's not likely to change course.

Dems are so very evil that no matter what the GOP does to fight the Dems, it's still the Dems fault, because the Dems made the GOP fight them. It doesn't matter what the GOP does to fight Dems, as long as they're fighting them. And when the Dems fail to make the pain the GOP is deliberately causing less painful, that's their fault, too.

    In response to A_Concerned_Citizen's comment:

While much of official Washington on Saturday somberly faced the likelihood of a government shutdown, the most conservative members of the House sported a different expression.

    They were smiling.

We’re very excited,” said Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.). “It’s exactly what we wanted, and we got it.

It’s wonderful,” said Rep. John Abney Culberson (R-Tex.), clapping his hands to emphasize the point. “We’re 100 percent united!”

Obama put mind control devices in those persons' heads, forcing them to say that they wanted a shutdown and feel excitement about it.
