A new report by the National Association of Manufacturers - "Defense Spending Cuts: The Impact on Economic Activity and Jobs" analyzes the probable impact of cuts in defense spending (on the economy and jobs) under the Budget Control Act of 2011.

Hillarious.  Angry is arguing for more spending on defense as the way to grow the economy.  Absolutely hillarious.

Hey spanky, what was the catalyst for getting the country out of the Depression?

    WPA and bake sales?

people just dont like Obama (leading to a race card)

    I never heard anyone say

Which makes it sound like just your excuse to prop up your party and it's failures again!

    = accidental admission of defeat.

You didn't make an economic argument back. Just started spouting off again once more about what other people must think (because you said so) and then concluded that because you have a personal opinion, blah blah, shut up you're right. Ok...

wow did you learn to edit comments to make them seem like something they were not from lawyer school or the DNC?

go away if, you cant handle honest debate please!

Govt spending in Q4 was up.  Spending overall was up.  Negative GDP for the 1st time since 2008.  Obama has been in charge since Jan 20, 2009.  It`s nobody`s fault but his.

    These are the facts.

    BOOM!!!

Re: Obama Recovery: Q4 GDP goes negative

In economics, a transfer payment (or government transfer or simply transfer) is a redistribution of income within the market system. These payments are considered to be exhaustive because they do not directly absorb resources or create output. In other words, the transfer is made without any exchange of goods or services.

G (government spending as part of GDP) is the sum of government expenditures on final goods and services. It includes salaries of public servants, purchase of weapons for the military, and any investment expenditure by a government. It does not include any transfer payments, such as social security or unemployment benefits.

Real gross domestic product -- the output of goods and services produced
by labor and property located in the United States -- decreased at an annual
rate of 0.1 percent in the fourth quarter of 2012 (that is, from the third
quarter to the fourth quarter), according to the "advance" estimate released
by the Bureau of Economic Analysis. In the third quarter, real GDP increased
    3.1 percent.

Real federal government consumption expenditures and gross investment
decreased 15.0 percent in the fourth quarter, in contrast to an increase of
9.5 percent in the third. National defense decreased 22.2 percent, in contrast
to an increase of 12.9 percent. Nondefense increased 1.4 percent, compared
with an increase of 3.0 percent. Real state and local government consumption
expenditures and gross investment decreased 0.7 percent, in contrast to an
    increase of 0.3 percent.

The Dow breaks 14,000 for the first time since 2007. Clearly, the Bush recovery is in full force.
