Negative GDP as a result of Cuts in Gov spending and the righties complain.  They got what they've been crying for and all they do is cry some more.

the fact is, if we took the tax rates on EVERYONE in the USA making $250k or more up to 50% (which would be unheard of), we would only pay the government`s debt for 8 days per year.

    WHOOSH!

Get off the misdirection thing, it nakes you look dishonest.

Like the misdirection from the current administration.

When you factor out borrowing, the size of our economy is currently SMALLER than the smallest year of the Bush administration.

The economy has been shrinking, and continues to shrink.   The GDP growth numbers are not real, they are inflated.

Oh, BTW:  Taxes went up on every taxpayer, significantly, as in more than a cup of coffee a day.

We are not in an economic boom!! We have an economy that has been stagnant the last 4 years and now we may be headed into another recession!!

    Get it?

As Obama himself said "raising taxes during troubled economic times is a mistake"!

Hey spanky, do you know something that every economist in the country doesn't know?

Because if you do, I'd like to see the evidence.

Sorry but your fvcking hilariously ignorant prophecies have ALL been proven wrong before.

There was the "Qaddafi will survive" bullcrap.

Then the "Thousands of troops moving to invade Syria."

How about the "Mittens will easily win the election"?

So pardon me if I don't believe any of your predictions... it's only because they're based on nothing but your ideological ignorance which itself has been shown to be lacking any substance.

The "cuts" were in Q4 huh?

    Wow!    What`s next..........Bush`s fault?

    FVCKING MORONS.

They can't even remember to wipe their backsides, nevermind the Budget Control Act of 2011.

The bill directly specified $917 billion of cuts over 10 years in exchange for the initial debt limit increase of $900 billion. The first installment ("tranche") of cuts will be applied in the FY2012 budget.

Re: Obama Recovery: Q4 GDP goes negative

Hey moron, there's a reason why BEA doesn't count "transfer payments and other federal outlays" in it's analysis.

Because paying interest on debt, "transferring" money to programs like the Pension Benefit Guaranty and investments in gov't securities are NOT part of the GDP.

The cut in spending by the Defense Dept has a DIRECT impact on GDP so when that is cut, GDP goes down.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In economics, a transfer payment (or government transfer or simply transfer) is a redistribution of income within the market system. These payments are considered to be exhaustive because they do not directly absorb resources or create output. In other words, the transfer is made without any exchange of goods or services.

G (government spending as part of GDP) is the sum of government expenditures on final goods and services. It includes salaries of public servants, purchase of weapons for the military, and any investment expenditure by a government. It does not include any transfer payments, such as social security or unemployment benefits.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------

Geepers, the stupidity you idiots exhibit in allegiance to your ideological ignorance is astounding!

Real gross domestic product -- the output of goods and services produced
by labor and property located in the United States
    -- decreased at an annual
rate of 0.1 percent in the fourth quarter of 2012 (that is, from the third
quarter to the fourth quarter), according to the "advance" estimate released
by the Bureau of Economic Analysis. In the third quarter, real GDP increased
    3.1 percent.

Real federal government consumption expenditures and gross investment
decreased 15.0 percent in the fourth quarter, in contrast to an increase of
9.5 percent in the third. National defense decreased 22.2 percent, in contrast
to an increase of 12.9 percent
. Nondefense increased 1.4 percent, compared
with an increase of 3.0 percent. Real state and local government consumption
    expenditures and gross
investment decreased 0.7 percent, in contrast to an
    increase of 0.3 percent.

He apparently knows something you don't know.  That is, that the size of the economy minus borrowed spending is smaller than the economy under the Bush years.

I would say that's proof that the economy is stagnant, and that's being kind.

Hillarious.  Angry is arguing for more spending on defense as the way to grow the economy.  Absolutely hillarious.

    Running the country? No.

Scaring the markets by holding things like the debt ceiling hostage? Yes.

So you think the congress should just raise the debt ceiling every year and not try to open debate to find ways for any fiscal balance?

Its their JOB to try and find fiscal balance!! You know this but, you cant get off party talking points huh?
