Obama throws his candidate for Virginia Governor under the bus...weeks before the election!

This is amazing, and ominous for 2010, if you are a Democrat running with the burden of Obama.
Loyalty? Forget it, The Dear Leader must not be sullied...

"Top Democrats seek to shield Obama in case of election loss"

"Sensing that victory in the race for Virginia governor is slipping away [what gave it away, geniuses,  the latest poll with a 19 point deficit?], Democrats at the national level are laying the groundwork to blame a loss in a key swing state on a weak candidate who ran a poor campaign that failed to fully embrace President Obama until days before the election."
In 2009, liberal Creigh Deeds will not only lose, but lose in a landslide BECAUSE he embraces Obama...yet the Democratic flacks are going to claim he didnt "embrace Obama soon enough"...
    2010 can't come soon enough...

Cue the "racist redneck Southern state" jokes...though Virginia has two Democratic US Senators, Democratic Governor and voted for Obama last year..

As the President's spiritual mentor once said, "The chickens . . . are coming home--to roost!"

Virginians will be the first to "pick up the mop" and begin to clean up the disaster that is Obama's socialist schemes...

he's a (D) running in VA, he doesn't need any help losing the election, although it could've been winnable. and not embracing Obama isn't the issue, his campaigning is. further to that, love him or hate, Obama put together perhaps the best political team ever.

The reason Obama won Virginia was the AA vote in farifax county...  They Are not that enthused about Deeds and his just say no to cap and trade and the public option.  Deeds is running for republican votes because he realizes the AA vote could care less about him.  That is the only reason and of course it is missed by the MSM!!!

    CNN reports:
"A well-known Democratic strategist in Virginia is blasting the White House for placing anonymous quotes in the Washington Post in a pre-emptive effort to blame Creigh Deeds for what might be a loss in the state's upcoming gubernatorial election.

David "Mudcat" Saunders, who gained political fame helping Democrat Mark Warner reach out to rural voters during Warner's successful 2001 gubernatorial bid, told CNN Friday that trying to blame Deeds is "bulls**t" when Democrats around the country are "just tired of politics."

WASHINGTON (CNN) – A well-known Democratic strategist in Virginia is blasting the White House for placing anonymous quotes in the Washington Post in a pre-emptive effort to blame Creigh Deeds for what might be a loss in the state's upcoming gubernatorial election.

"The Democrats right now are a real bruised brand right now where I am," Saunders said in a phone interview from his home near Roanoke. "There was so much energy put into last year's race, everybody's just burned out. You can't get anybody fired up."

In a story published Friday, a senior administration official told the Post that the Deeds campaign ignored their advice to embrace the president, which the official claimed would have boosted the Democratic candidate's lackluster support among the African-Americans and young voters who supported Obama in 2008.
