Obama to fire workers for "political" reasons!

Do you have any ability to grasp something more complex than a blank sheet of paper?

The problem was not that Bush fired lawyers, its that he targeted specific lawyers for pure political reasons — such as they were investigating Republicans, or not speeding up investigations of Dems because of elections — that is illegal.

That is NOT the same as removing them when you come into office and replace them to align with your political intent and goals. That is something most administrations do when they come in to office, Reagan, Clinton and others did it, its normal. And that is not illegal. What Bush's people did was.

The world is not Black and White Bob, its shades of gray, and there are many layers and complexities that define what is allowed and not allowed.

Thanks for making my point! Shades of gray, indeed.....What you are saying is, if your political opponent does it, you criminalize it.
"[Bush] targeted specific lawyers for pure political reasons...that is illegal"... How does one make that conclusion? How do you know the President's motives on who he hires and fires?
Can Obama fire any of his appointees without an investigation, since if it is for "pure political reasons", it is illegal? ?

My original point was, the vicious Democrats poisoned the well as far as Presidential powers. They not only attacked Bush, they attacked the institution of the Presidency and damaged it. The responses here only reinforce that my point is correct.
