The real 1% are those crony capitalists and connected crooks with snouts firmly in the government trough. Along with public sector leftist bureaucrats who want the entire population dependent on food stamps and with Obamaphones.

First, they back the 1% by calling any mention of the disturbing fact that an ever-shrinking amount of the population controls an ever-greater percentage of the country's wealth "class warfare."

Taking offense at the existence of facts was bad enough.

And now you attack the same 1% as "crony capitalists" and "connected crooks"?

So committed to ranting you don't even remember which side you were on yesterday. Sheesh.

Obama is a 1% er, as is Biden, as is  Liawatha, as is John Forbes Kerry.

i laugh every time the left gets all worked up over the 1%ers, and their leaders are all 1%ers.

No. Actually, it is "Need U" By Duke Dumont featuring A.M.E.  Your song isn't even on the list.

You aren't that bright I can tell.

The dreadful jobs reports, the high unemployment/underemployment, the numbers of Americans on food stamps, and companies with "record" profits, proves my point.

No, I`m not a CEO.  I do happen to be sitting next to one all this week though, and he`s reducing the work force, closing manufacturing facilities, and being very careful with research and development dollars.

A CEO works with what they have.  If government is painting an unsure future, then, hold back where you can.  Hence, hiring is way down.

A CEO is not compelled to move forward at any cost.  That's just more proof that liberals do not understand basic economics.

That's pretty naive to imagine POTUS has that much control over the markets.  He doesn't.  Never did...nor should he in any real sense.  The U.S. economy does not exist in a vacuum.

I might expect that from an internet troll, but not a successful CEO...but then, they can be stubborn ideologues, too.

If taken at their word, business owners just seem to be running out of excuses for why their business plans are either faulty or too rigid to keep pace in a globalized economic environment.

Screwed up, huh...?  That's too bad.  Not everyone has what it takes to be chief.

If he's blaming the Prez outright, then he's clueless.

    Well, no.

First, the markets are at this level for a few reasons.  one is the massive money creation by the Fed.  the other is the cutback in hiring and investment is creating a temporary bubble in balance sheets.  the third is that interest rates are artifically low, keeping people out of bonds and pushing money into the markets with no where to go, sort of an market inflation.

Their business plans require some degree of certainty, or the risk involved is too great to commit to the desired investment.  Despite what you might think, running a business is not like playing poker at a casino.

When government gets out of the way, and is no longer tries to pick winners and losers, no longer tries to regulate competition for it's pals out of existence, companies won't flock to D.C. with their lobbyists and demand the type of action you are currently seeing.  This should be your primary goal, to break the big business/government link.  As a side effect, lobbyists go out of business.

    As I said: naive

Of businesses which are thriving, lobbyists are right up there.

If you're suggesting that our uniquely american system of legal bribery is going anywhere soon, you are mistaken.

The government and corporatocracy are inter-dependent.  If one dies, they both do.
