Are you the one that removes posts to suit the Globes socialist agenda ?

Isn't it time we stopped with the "Socialist" canard? The right has an unhealthy fixation with the dreaded threat of socialism every time their philosophy is challenged. Use a pacifier if you must, but please stop with this infantile reference.

I agree it's an infatile reference. Just as infantile as referring to conservatives as bigots/racists.

The "socialist" accusation is pretty much empty rhetoric: just about any government program impacting society can be described as "socialist". Actual social control of the means of production?  Not so much...

On the other hand, although often overused, the "bigot/racist" accusation has more substance to it when applied to the right. The "traditional values" of certain conservatives can include homophobia, sexism and racism.

Yes, but when used as a sweeping generalization, which it is very often, that is just plain wrong.

Yup.  Sweeping generalizations belong to the fringes.  Unfortunately they do a lot of talking.

    I got YOUR message Rubie.

Lets ban "socialist" from the vocab when used toward the leftist pinko commies in power.

WHILE promoting "bigot/racist" against the conservatives.

    You're a real peach !

You are pretty much proving my point.  Empty rhetoric from an empty head.

What maybe is more important, is, given the opportunity, what questions would we ask of PResident Obama.  Here are a few I thought of:

In 2008 you claimed your election would cause the sea levels to stop rising.  Have they stopped rising, or are the Republicans blocking your efforts to do so?

On Bengazi:  Who in your administration suggested blaming the attack on  a video with less than 700 views on Youtube?

If all your ideas were implemented, what would the size of the deficit be at the end of your term?  Would it be larger or smaller than when you started?  I am looking for a number, not a monolouge.

Why are the press not asking these questions????

President Barack Obama will give the State of the Union address Tuesday at 9 p.m. Reports indicate he will focus the speech on boosting job creation and economic growth at a time of high unemployment, underscoring the degree to which the economy could threaten his ability to pursue second-term priorities such as gun control, immigration policy and climate change.

What would you like to hear Obama say Tuesday night? What topics do you think he should address? What do you expect from the GOP response after the speech?

    No response sweetie ?
Do you work along side Comrade Matty or any of the over spoken Liberal hacks?

Are you concerned about the Globe going bust or being sold to Murdock ?

You see I think there is value in the editors who lean sooo far left to actually come onto the board and defend their opinions in detail. I think they work secretly behind the scenes to "filter" out any bad Barry news and accentuate the little good news that this administration has dome.

I would not go so far as to call them COWARDS for not stepping into the light but they have their dirty little jobs to do..

Do you always wear sun glasses?

Is that even your photo ?

Who are you 'connected' to ?

What are YOUR thoughts about Americas decline in morality and values?

How hard did Obamas tax INCREASE hurt you weekly ?

    Meds, man. Meds.

    Very fair and balanced.

The Obama regime has always been focusing its efforts on job creation ! Specifically, growing useless unionized Government jobs, to harass the citizenry and squelch private sector economic growth.

Climate change? After the blizzard flooded the Mass. coast, there must be some doubt even among his worshippers at the Globe, that Obama hasnt kept his rocksolid promise to "halt the rise of the oceans"...

Re: Obama's State of the Union address

    In response to UserName99's comment:

What we need, and I wish the President would come out for in a BIG WAY, is a dramatic restructuring of the tax code intended to address the real-world dynamics of globalism - one of which is the fact that many high-net worth individuals, whether they are management or investors, clearly feel greater loyalty to their bank accounts than they do to their fellow Americans. If we wish to remain one nation for much longer, this cannot be allowed to continue.

What is needed is a nationalistic tax code - a code that treats income earned while employing hard-working Americans in a much more favorable fashion than income earned any other way. This approach would almost certainly involve lowering tax rates for business physically done in America (as is almost all commerce conducted by small business) - while retaining current corporate rates for commerce conducted outside of the country. It would implement truly draconian penalties for companies and individuals who attempt to game this new tax system by fraudulently claiming this new "enterprise" rate.  It time to wrap the Stars and Stripes around the American worker again and take pride in 'Made in America'.

Surely you see the contradiction here.

I will not be watching.  I'm tired of Obama saying that the $115,000 my spouse and I pay in Federal income, SS and medicare taxes is not our "fair share". That does not include the approximately $2500 tax hike to pay for Obamacare that we will start paying this year.

Re: Obama's State of the Union address

I was going to pass on this, but then as I read some of the comments, I figured I should get my oar in the water. It appears to me, that the more you take and the less you contribute, the mouthier you get. I have been beaten to a bloody stump, about paying my 'fair share'. The real interesting thing< I find about that concept, is that I haven't seen a SINGLE person, define that. Is 'my fair share' 40%, 50%, 60% of my earned income? I mean what is it. I have come to believe, that the proponents of this concept, can't bring themselves to say it out loud, or layout the definition, because they are either embarrassed or humiliated at what this really means. While the world continues to throw stones back and forth and across the political aisle, we are imploding as a country and a society. Clearly, the successful folks have an obligation to reach back and help other folks get the opportunity to achieve. BUT what obligations do those folks, the ones that we are reaching back for, what obligations do they have?? What is the fair share of effort they owe society? I never here that addressed. I just hear the cry for more investment (revenue/cash/tax increases, etc). Does anyone have the courage, to do a serious analysis, on what has happened to the current level of investment? If we believe there is any merit to this discussion, then why are we so 'flexible' with allowing the illegal entry of other peoples and their continued living arrangement here? THEY are not self sufficient. And the fact that we are a nation of immigrants, the immigrants that built this nation were sponsored by exiting US nationals, up to and including their deportment and financial responsibility. Will I listen to the "Address' , no. I believe President Obama is a Chris Rock wannabee. I don't believe he has respect for the office, the processes this Country was built on, or respect for the people that built it. President Obama is a dressed up Al Sharpton/Jesse Jackson, who quite frankly I find despicable. Now before all you characters pull out your 'racist' ammo, to start throwing around, ponder this? What does a Community Activist do? What skills do they bring to the table? What jobs do they create? So here we are, with President Community Activist, managing a country with an almost 8% unemployment rate (near double the rate 4 years ago), gas prices double from what they were 4 years ago, an National Debt, that has increased by 60% in four years, and no light at the end of the tunnel. Yeah, I know it was Bush. Let's say that is the case, did we really need to increase the debt by 60%, to support our drive to double the unemployment rate and the cost of gasoline? Folks, please thin about it.
