Biden is a hustler not a public servant. That's probably why Obama picked him. It certainly wasn't for his compassion or ability to reach/connect with constituents or the middle class!

Dems should be very nervous about tonights debate!

Yeah...He's no public servant.  He's only been a VP or US Senator since Paul Ryan was 2 years old.

That makes him a career politician not a servant of the publics interest!

Only because you don't like his politics.  That's hardly an objective standard.

Back to the content of the OP, I didn't like that he was so tight with the financial industry, for which Delaware is a nest.  Similarly, didn't like Sen. Dodd of Connecticut spearheading financial reform.  But probably not for the same reasons as the OP and loyal opposition.

Now, back to tonight's debate, who's the underdog?

As Senator, Biden was representing the State of Delaware.  A lot of credit card companies are located in Delaware.  They were part of his constituency.

As a Senator, you have different responsibilities.  You weigh doing what's right for the state vs what's right for the country.

I would think Senator Biden's actions as a Senator would make him more attractive to the righties.

Perhaps they would be attractive to the Republican establishment but they are certainly not attractive in any way to conservatives.

OK, did your work for you.

Ah, a Herald - reporter? - columnist, confrere of Mr. Carr.  Is that why you don't want to say it?  Either because of his provenance or in deference to the loyal opposition's media ownership's tendency to mush the distinction between news and commentary?

Interesting, in looking him up, to see that the Herald won four Pulitzer Prizes ...all before it became a mouthpiece for Messrs. Hearst and Murdoch&Ailes.

What? Am I only supposed to read the unbiased reports in the Globe? Or perhaps CNN? MSNBC? Huffington Post

OK, I'll wait for your Fauxnews shot next.

Why not more?  No, references are already provided (yours included).  As are references to Forbes and other business journals elsewhere in recent days.

But it is good to see a local article in your space instead of one from Virginia.

Joe will call out pretty boy on some issues.  I doubt he will put his foot in mouth more then once.

But then it will be a "tie", like last night's.

    But that's OK.
