Palin: 'Not Surprising' Katie Couric's Show Got Canceled

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said Katie Couric left two prominent shows at CBS and ABC because Americans just did not want to tune in to watch her.

    by Tony Lee

When Extra's Mario Lopez asked Palin on Friday about the cancellation of Couric's talk show, Palin said she remembered "getting a couple of texts that said things like, 'Oh sorry that it didn’t work out there at CBS or ABC.'"

Palin was referring to Couric's departure from CBS after ratings for the network's evening newscast tanked with Couric as the anchor.

"That wasn't real surprising because the ratings were going in the tank with her as one of the head honchos there in the newsroom at CBS and then it didn’t surprise me, her other move," Palin said. "Things weren’t going real well there, either.”

Couric got a talk show on ABC, which was canceled last year after being called an "unmitigated disaster." Couric then took a pay-cut for a part-time gig at Yahoo! News.

Palin spoke to Extra to promote her new show, Amazing America with Sarah Palin, which will air on The Sportsman Channel.

Progressive faux journalist Katie Couric remains the darling of the left wing media.

Emmys for Today Show's "Thanksgiving parade coverage"...

Then her gold medal Emmy for her hostile interview with Sarah Palin. She won kudos for making Palin look stupid, which was the avowed goal of all the liberal mainstream press. (Palin totally screwed up on her own, which doesnt change the fact that the partisan Couric was out to harass her, as opposed to her worshipful interviews with Obama.)

Couric was a failure as a network anchor, and a failure as a talk show host. No matter, being a liberal partisan journo-list will get you endless kudos and job opportunities...

Does anyone really care what Sarah Palin thinks?

Her 15 minutes of fame went into overtime, like , a year and a half ago.

Best way to get good ratings is to make a show aimed at morons.

What are some of the more popular shows recently? Jersey Shore and Duck Dynasty.

    There you have it.

I'm no fan of Katie Couric, but there's been lots of more stupid , moronic programming that succeeded. How did Sarah Palin's Alaska do?....I'm thinking I'd rather watch just about anything else than a former political wannabee pretending to be a rough, tough outdoorswoman , in the Great White North....pausing to paint her nails before shooting a bear.

If it was conservative dream girl Megyn Kelly, some on the right would have knives out over such an insult.

But since the target is a "librul", anything is fair game and the misogyny flows freely like blood from a freshly killed moose....

Or maybe they are willing to cut some slack to a president who is drawing down troops from the Middle East (where Republicans committed them), who is helping topple dictators without committing US troops (which Republicans criticized as leading from behind), who found a way to avoid war with Syria (despite conservatives criticizing him for back-tracking on his line in the sand), and who has convinced Iran to agree to UN oversight of its nuclear programs (instead of singing songs about bombing Iran - ahem, McCain).

Maybe if you like peace, it's hard to be critical of this President, particularly in light of the 8 years preceding him.

Of course the fake antiWar Left has "let it go", because there is a Democrat in the White House, and it is no longer useful to have antiWar demonstrations,  so the puppy dogs were told to sit quietly.

Somehow their sensitive consciences who couldnt stand terrorists to be in prison in Gitmo, can watch drone missiles kill hundreds overseas, and more than 1,500 Americans be killed in Afghanistan, under a President who "half heartedly" brought a 'surge' to the War, according to Gates...

It is wonderful to see the Middle East become such a beautiful place.... I think I may book a trip for my spring vacation.

At least American troops aren't still bleeding and dying there for a wingnut's ego and political party's ideology.

You're right .... it's better to let the Arabs kill themselves. We're Americans, we only care about ourselves! Screw the rest of the world.

From one public failure to another...it takes one to know one.

If it was conservative dream girl Megyn Kelly, some on the right would have knives out over such an insult.

But since the target is a "librul", anything is fair game and the misogyny flows freely like blood from a freshly killed moose....

If it was anyone with a good show!

    lol there are the ratings

Megyn off the chart high for a new show.

    Couric consistently dismal!
