So because they want to rein in spending they are not alllwoed to accept gov monies on behalf of their constituents, while every other state does.

That makes zero sense.  Remember the discussion about earmarks.  Even those on the far left said politicians had an obligation to continue requesting earmarks even if they are against them.  While other states are benefitting from earmarks, it seems unfairly punitive to the constituents of the states that are represented by those politicians who think earmarks are hurting the economy.

It needs to be an "all in" sort of thing.  IMO

GREAT point. Let's see how many pay the higher taxes. What's the over/under on who pays higher amount? I'm guessing ZERO. Which means majority of dems in congress will be hypocrites.
