As Newman pointed out, a new poll by Quinnipiac says voters think Obama is the worst President since WWII and Ronald Reagan is the best. From a policy stand point, I don't think they differ too much. I think the main difference is style - a strutting Cowboy Vs a skinny nerdy black man.
I think they have more in common from a policy standpoint that they are different. Staying away from rhetoric, how are they similar/different.
Same: Record Deficits,
Same: inherited a bad economy and improved upon it
Same: Increased the size of government.
Different: Reagan saw 250 Marines that he sent to Beirut die from a terrorist attack, Obama saw 4 state department employees die
Same: Negotiated with terrorists/Sponsors of Terrorist - Reagan Sold Arms to Iran, Obama traded for an American
Similar: Obama wants Immigration Reform/Reagan Gave Illegals amnesty
Different: Reagan gave birth to Bin Laden/Obama killed Bin Laden
Different: Reagan had a huge Tax increase (largest in the Nations History)/Obama had tax cuts and Taxes under Obama are lower than under Reagan.
Different: Reagan invaded Grenada (such an accomplishment) Obama left Iraq.
Similar: Weed started to become legal under Obama, Cocaine use sky rocketed under Reagan
Similar: The Reagan Admin was plagued by real scandals. The Obama Admin plagued by made up scandals.
Different: Gays were left to die fro AIDS during Reagan Admin, Gays are allowed to marry the person they love under Obama
Did I forget anything?
