Republican Attendee Allegedly Threw Nuts At Black CNN Camerawoman, Called Her An 'Animal'

An attendee at the Republican National Convention was allegedly thrown out of the convention center in Tampa on Tuesday after throwing nuts at a black CNN camerawoman and saying, "this is how we feed the animals."

Lets not jump to conclusions.  The attendee could have thrown the peanuts because he saw a woman and he hates women.

An unfounded baseless accusation of racism against a Republican?

It is curious that the GOP cenvention would make the effort to issue a statement about an unfounded baseless accusation.

GOP convention spokesman Kyle Downey tells POLITICO, "Two attendees tonight exhibited deplorable behavior. Their conduct was inexcusable and unacceptable. This kind of behavior will not be tolerated."

    Weird.

Anyone throwing things at another person is deplorable. He didn't state it was race motivated or gender motivated or that the person whi threw it was even a republican. Those are all race, gender, party, unfounded assumptions made by the regular actors on these boards.

I see.  You know I would think that if this person were just a jerk being a jerk, he could have thrown his peanuts at any number of what was surely thousands of people in attendence.  But somehow, he managed to end up making his comment "this is how we feed the animals" and throwing peanuts at 1) a camera operator for a media company covering the event (smart!) and 2) what I would imagine would have been one of not very many black women in attendence.

You can frame it anyway you like. She was certainly not the only minority but she was the only CNN reporter so, it could be argued that it was in frustration with the networks biased coverage and had absolutely nothing to do with gender or race! js

"...as a Puerto Rican party functionary—Zoraida Fonalledas, the chairwoman of the Committee on Permanent Organization—took her turn at the main-stage lectern. As she began speaking in her accented English, some in the crowd started shouting “U.S.A.! U.S.A.!”

The chanting carried on for nearly a minute while most of the other delegates and the media stood by in stunned silence. The Puerto Rican correspondent turned to me and asked, “Is this happening?” I said I honestly didn’t know what was happening—it was astonishing to see all the brittle work of narrative construction that is a modern political convention suddenly crack before our eyes. None of us could quite believe what we were seeing: A sea of twentysomething bowties and cowboy hats morphing into frat bros apparently shrieking over (or at) a Latina. RNC chairman Reince Priebus quickly stepped up and asked for order and respect for the speaker, suggesting that, yeah, what we had just seen might well have been an ugly outburst of nativism.

Because they just let people wander in off the streets.
Well except actual wingnuts like Palin or Ron Paul.

In other news, a Republican didn't hold the door for an asian man, and there are unsubstantiated reports that an elevator door shut on a latina, with several republicans already in the elevator.

Unacceptable behavior.  Just as unacceptable as the liberals who openly wished the hurricane hit Tampa and killed all the Republicans.

When Republicans behave depsicably they are shunned by Republicans.....when Democrats do it they are joined by other Democrats and defended.

    http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2012/08/29/two-people-removed-from-rnc-after-taunting-black-camera-operator/

Two people were removed from the Republican National Convention Tuesday after they threw nuts at an African-American CNN camera operator and said, “This is how we feed animals.”

Multiple witnesses observed the exchange and RNC security and police immediately removed the two people from the Tampa Bay Times Forum.

The convention released a statement saying, “Two attendees tonight exhibited deplorable behavior. Their conduct was inexcusable and unacceptable. This kind of behavior will not be tolerated."

So these two jackwagons behaved like animals and the convention did the right thing by removing them and releasing a strongly worded statement. So far so good. They should not be allowed back into the convention.

The next step is to identify these two fools and, if members of a Republican group, have them removed from the group and banned from participating in Republican politics going forward.

But this might lead to the assaults that have occurred at the state conventions when The Republican Establishment has tried to ban Dr. Paul's supporters for their much much worse sin of challenging the "victor's" victories.

Ellen Barkin Hopes Hurricane Kills 'Every Pro-Life, Xenophobic, Gay-Bashing SOB' At The RNC

(LifeSiteNews.com) - In the aftermath of the Family Research Council shooting, prominent voices on the Left have not tapped down their violent rhetoric against their opponents. Two Baby Boomer celebrities have taken to Twitter to hope pro-life, pro-family individuals and U.S. Congressman Todd Akin suffer a drowning or a same-sex rape, respectively.

On Sunday, Ellen Barkin expressed her hope that Tropical Storm Isaac would smash up the Republican National Convention in Tampa and drown all its delegates.

She retweeted the message of one of her followers that read: “C’mon #Isaac! Wash every pro-life, anti-education, anti-woman, xenophobic, gay-bashing, racist SOB right into the ocean! #RNC ” Barkin did not express any disagreement in her retweet.

The storm is expected to grow into a Category 1 hurricane before slamming into the Gulf Coast on Wednesday, the seventh anniversary of Hurricane Katrina.

I'm not aware of these "assaults" but I'm guessing that "Dr. Paul's supporters" are probably a lot more culpable than a CNN camera operator would be.
