    Republican lunacy continues

Sen. Lindsey Graham says he plans to block President Obama’s nominees to head up the Department of Defense and the CIA until the White House releases more information about what happened on the night of the September attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi. The South Carolina Republican says he won’t filibuster but he will try to put a hold on Chuck Hagel, the Defense nominee, and John Brennan, Obama’s choice to lead the CIA. Graham defended his stance saying that then-Sen. Joe Biden also asked for more information before a 2005 vote to confirm a nominee. “No confirmation without information," Graham said on CBS News. (Watch video after the jump.)

"I'm not going to stop until we get to the bottom of it," Graham said. "We know nothing about what the president did on the night of September 11, during a time of national crisis, and the American people need to know what their commander-in-chief did, if anything, during the eight-hour attack,” Graham said.

Also appearing on CBS, Sen. Jack Reed called Graham’s threat “unprecedented and unwarranted.” The Democrat from Rhode Island said that while “it’s completely appropriate” to ask questions, it’s an “overreaction” to then “turn around and say I’m going to block two key members of the president’s cabinet.”

DOD and the CIA don't need a leader. So, keep on raping that tragedy for political points.

And....make angry faces while you do it. It helps.

True believers and toadies you are. No amount of skepticism is allowed amongst the believers. All hail the Bamster, no questions asked!

Didn't bother to read the post before urinating on the thread, as per usual.

Graham voicing his conspiracy beliefs to score points with complete imbeciles like yourself is not a problem. Like you, let the tard run his mouth as much as he wants.

The problem is holding up necessary appointments to score points with complete imbeciles like yourself.

Duh. I guess I can't be surprised you don't get it.

Oh, I don't get it because I don't agree with you? I guess that is typical for the leftwing concepts of tolerance, diversity and understanding.

You Obama loyalists are so quick to let him off the hook and then you throw pooooop at those that are merely looking for some answers to an incident that was clearly botched up. Yet your guy and his administration are not forthcoming on the facts.

Oh god forbid that anything be done to get at the facts of that case. If Obama were forthcoming there would be no need to tie up nominations of his mediocre appointees. Why are you not skeptical of his behavior - acting like a cover up artist. Because you are an a55-kissing loyalist to the leftwing cause. THe facts are not what is important.

And again, I am shocked, shocked! to see such a sensitive moonbat as yourself use the insult "tard". What a hypocrite.

    Lots of hot air.

No justification for why CIA and DOD appointments should be blocked because of Graham's trutherness.

Eventually he just has to run out of new ways to ask the same question that he doesn't like the answer to...... Benghazi is not a scandal Lindsey.

Let me try to give you a little bit of insight here.  He knows the answer to the question, and it is likely not good for Obama.  however, in order for it to have the imprimatur of validity, someone in Obama's camp needs to answer the question honestly.

    In response to Graham's comment:

“Did the president at any time during this eight-hour attack, pick up the phone and call anybody in Libya to get help for these folks?Secretary [Hillary] Clinton said she was screaming on the phone at Libyan officials. There’s no voice in the world like that of the president of the United States. And I do believe if he had picked up the phone and called the Libyan government, these folks could have gotten out of the airport, to the annex and the last two guys may very well be alive. And if he did call the Libyan officials and they sort of blew him off, that would effect whether or not I would give foreign aid in the future to Libya. But if he failed to call on behalf of those people under siege, then I think that’s a massive failure of leadership by our commander in chief.”

And just what, sir, do those conspiracy theories about Obama have to do with his appointments to CIA and DOD ?

Graham said Obama could have saved the lives of some of the four Americans who died during the Benghazi attacks had he personally intervened during the crisis.

    ________________________________________________________________________

The attacks were already carried out and Stevens was already dead when Obama was notified. Is part of Graham's trutherism a belief that Obama secretly possesses a time machine?

And doesn't he realize how problematic it could be if Obama did, and used it to go back and prevent them from dying?

These Rs...  can't even get their fiction straight.

The slogan of then-Senator Joe Biden during the confirmation hearings on John Bolton: "No confirmation without information."

Look what's so hard to understand about this?

The main reason Biden said that, as stated in the letter he circulated, was that the administration was refusing to release materials that BOLTON used in preparing congressional testimony on WMDs.

The claim was that the materials would likely show his attempts to exaggerate intelligence information on WMDs, and that he mislead the Foreign Relations Committee when he said he was not involved in preparing the testimony.

If that's true, then clearly the reason Bolton was being opposed had to do with something bearing on Bolton's qualification for being an Ambassador to the UN.

Graham isn't here talking about blocking Obama's appointments because Obama is refusing to release material that bears on the appointees' qualifications.

He is talking about blocking Obama's appointees to punish Obama, because he has conspiracy theories about Obama.

Gotta love how the conservatives will simply cut out the context to make their faux comparison-zings.....

    lol. Of course.

They have complied. Repeatedly. You just don't like the answers.

Obama is covering up the truth, unless he says that the truth is what the right already decided it is. This, from the people who think calling Benghazi "an act of terror" the day after it happened is not calling it a "terrorist attack" for two weeks.

This looks just as dumb as "the long form pdf was fake!" Every time your silly little conspiracy theory is shot down, you invent another layer.

Enough with the boring old lies. I know you're mad that your slander didn't deprive him of a second term, but you aren't fooling anyone.

The sad thing is..that the Senators on the security council were all given a copy of the classified report. I am sure that all the info they are looking for is ..well..in the report. Why does anyone need to know exactly what Obama was doing at the moment of the Benghazi attack?  Although I am sure even that is in the classified report. Perhaps some of the wingnuts are just mad because those details can't be made public..you know..in a world where everyone has to know everything .
