Republicans are Sick and Twisted... and unpatriotic

Why are republicans so over joyed because the USA lost the olympics??
It doesn't make sense.  This would be great for the US and add money to our country.  In ussual selfish and unpatriotic mode the republicans are giddy over the USA not hosting the olympica and even tried everything to get the US rejected.
This doesn't make sense and shows the true colors of the republicans... they don't care about america at all.
This is completely different from an obama policy that fails because you disagree with obama policy.  This shows how truely childish, unpatriotic, and treasonist republicans truely are.

You are happy that the US doesn't host the olympics, but you aren't unhappy that bush lost 2 wars against 3rd world countries, caused the biggest financial crisis ever, or ran the US into the ground?

Republicans aren't.  Just the BDC reactionaries.  These are the same folks who have lost their jobs but get stiffies with every bad jobs report.  Don't make the mistake of believing they are examples of anything other than a bad cliche.

We are happy that we lost the Olympics because we think Chicago is an embarrassment to our nation.  We know it would have been a free for all for the corrupt hacks that run Chicago and that it would have cost American taxpayers billions and only made Obama, the Mayor, the Governor, the unions, ACORN et al. wealthy at our expense.

Mitt Romney was the only guy to make money running an Olympic game.  Chicago isn't capable.

...and it was great to see Obama put himself out there and lose so big.  He over estimates his popularity.  Has he seen his own poll numbers??

Even the French are calling Obama useless and weak....I have to admit..he has fallen from the graces of the world and our country faster than any of us could have fantasized.

    A lame duck in 8 months...is that a record???

I love how Obama spent all that time in Denmark and only carved out 25 minutes for the Commanding General of Afghanistan on Air Force One.  25 minutes???  It takes me longer than that to get shoes and coats on the kids and get them in their car seats.

I bet anything Obama breaks out in hives every time he is alone in a room with a decorated four star general....and not for the same reason that patriotic Americans might have a similar reaction......

Be honest.  It is not about Chicago, it is about Obama.  You are happy that the country will not get the Olympics because it is a defeat of someone you personally loathe: the president.  As long as it is a defeat for Obama you don't care about the collateral damage.

But it is interesting that you get all excited by a man in uniform... but your play time is your own business.

Chicago is no more of a national embarassment than SLC, Atlanta, or LA.
What the reactionaries fail to grasp is the economic impact the Olympics bring.  As POTUS he had an obligation to try to help econinc growth and development.  Bush or reagan would have done the same for Houston, LA or even Boston.

Besides, people are ignoring the fact that Chicago was never really in the running.  America just had an Olympics and Vancouver will have the next one, so the chances of NA getting one when SA has never had one were nonexistent.

Absolutely NOT.  Bush lied to go to war in iraq, He was unprepared, he had no clue how to properly plan the invasion or the aftermath.  His blunder has set this country back significantly, and caused significant damage to our country.  Nobody is happy that bush was such a failure, additionally the smart people in this country tried to warn you idiots that bush was a failure and you didn't listen.  We wanted the war to suceed, but it didn't.  Then when it was so obviously failing you couldn't admit that it was a failure. In 2007 it was time to admit failure and move on from bushes failure.

The olympics are 100% diferent then iraq, iraq simply could have been avoided and all the problems we have from could've been avoided. you didn't listen and you failed.

The olympics would've brought money and prosperity to our country.  You don't care about our country you only care about the reublican party.  You are rooting against the country and want our olympic athletes to fail.  That is shameful.

Don't backpedal by saying "idon't want money to go to crooks in chicago"  If you beleive that you could be dumber then bush.
The bottom line and this is undisputable is that it hurts the us to loose the olympics and you're happy about it because you don't care about our country.  You just care about the republican party.  You'll never get over the fact that clinton was a great pres, bush was the worst pres, and now obama has to clean up bush's catastrophic messes.

I am more than happy to admit that I am delighted that Obama took a big hit on the Olympics decision. The more power and prestiege he loses the better because his power is only destructive to the country. To say that losing the Olympic decision is un-patriotic is ridiculous. What the hell does the Olympics do for the USA if it is here???? Maybe run up some more debt? Fill some Chicago crooks' pockets with payoffs? Republicans should learn something from what happened to Obama. Obama tries to win over other nations by "talking", playing nice and trying to make them happy. What does that get you in diplomacy? A big slap in the face, no respect and alot of trouble. The Republicans have got to start fighting for what they want instead of playing nice with Obama and the Democrats. It gets them nowhere. Now is the time to pounce on this 96-lb. weakling and knock him out for good before he can do any more damage to the counry. Finally, I'm sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and disagree with this administration, somehow you're not patriotic. We need to stand up and say we're Americans, and we have the right to debate and disagree with any administration.

There's no problem with debating or disagreeing with obama, but this is flat out unpatriotic.  You can disagree with his policy and when it fails say "see it told you so"  Just like with everything with bush everything he did failed and i told ya so.  The olympics are completely different in that they aren't policy, they are a bennefit to the us.  You don't support our athletes?? How shameful.

The fact that you are rooting against our country is sad and sick.  The person that was hurtful to the country was your guy..  Obama has to fix the mess that you guys created.  You guys destroyed this country.  Don't start crying about how obama will destroy the country when that is 100% exactly what bush did and we have 8 years of facts to prove this.  Obama has to save the country from the republican blunder machine.  He failed in getting the olympics and you're proud of that and thats treason.

Swing and a miss Bobby.  I voted for Bush the first time, but came to loathe him for his partisan politics, lack of respect for the law and especially his rush to fight in Iraq for little or no reason and with little or no planning for the future. There is a certain amount of glee being expressed at Chicago not getting the Olympics.  No one cheered the casualty lists of Iraq.  See the difference?

Wow!  You don't like being called unpatriotic for disagreeing with this administration!  You ought to have a chat with some of your Jugendbund buddies about their feelings when anyone voiced dissent towards Herr Bush during his reign.

The reason why Conservatives and so many other people are happy that Chicago lost the Olympics is because if Chicago got the Olympics it would have seemed that "the fix was in" because Obama is from there. Plus, people would have brought back into the light Obama's land and property dealings with Tony Rezko and would have questioned if Chicago Style Politics had anything to do with Chicago potentially getting the Olympics. Thankfully though, Chicago was the first city out of the running for the 2016 Olympics and Obama has to put his tail between his legs and hang his head in shame for his failure. Plus, the shear arrogance of Obama to give more time in fighting for getting the Olympics and flying to Copenhagen then to give General McCrystal the time of day when McCrysal is urging Obama to make a decision on putting an additional 40,000 American troops into Afghanistan.

Sure, I will admit it. I am glad that Obama failed. However, it doesn't make me unpatriotic because I am against all of Obama's Socialistic ideas.

A new low for the GOP

This is a new low for the GOP. They are glad a US city lost the Olympics to a foreign city because the city is administered by democrats?  That is completely despicable. I don't believe most republicans feel that way. They are still US citizens after all. It must be only the zealot conservatives who still believe in President Bush's policys that brought this recession and the Iraq war upon us. Such conservatives fail to under stand that this is the United States. Not the divided States.

Does it occur to anyone that we can't afford to host the Olympics?  That we would be standing there like welfare bums with our hand out, taking millions of dollars to improve infrastructure we've had no excuse for neglecting?  As it is, every company is going to nickle-dime us on every product we buy to pay for this party.  What is it with all you liberal , global citizens now that your guy failed to produce?  Facts facts, Brazil deserves the honor more than we do.  They've come a long way, and they're in better economic position to host the Games than we are.  I bet they pull it off for billions less.

    Per capita income in U.S. = $40,000.

In Response to Re: Republicans are Sick and Twisted... and unpatriotic :  What does supporting the Olympic GAMES have to do with being patriotic? Nothing. They are GAMES. They are the type of feel-good do-nothing event that Kumabayh singers love. I probably did accuse them of being un-patriotic because in many cases they were. Especially in support of the Al Qaeda propaganda team of Dickliss Durban and Ted Kennedy. To be more accurate I probably called people un-American or anti-American since there was nothing in their complaints that could be construed as pro-American. If they really had problems with the way things were run they had an option to do something about it without taking it public in such a damaging fashion. But they didn't, they resorted to political grandstanding. Just look at what fancy-shmanski claims - that Bush lost 2 wars. Huh??? He is so po'd about Bush that he can't even see the truth - Iraq was a victory, Afghanistan is in progress. So is that "patriotic" - to lie about these two wars? And I never had any problem with people debating the Bush Admin. It was how some of them did it, but even then it was fine because by their un_american words we now know them.  I even got a letter to the editor published in the Globe defending the Dixie Chix right to speak out. That way I know not to buy any of their CDs.

    No.
The Democrats undeniably rooted for failure in Iraq, were gleeful and spiteful when things didnt go well for Bush, and definitely wanted President Bush to fail.

It is laughable now when a Democrat is in the White House how they "wrap themselves in the flag".
Even more laughable was their professed concern over too much executive power.... this deep seated belief seems to have vanished...

Not saying that "getting the Olympics" is a socialist idea. What I am saying is that I believe that Obama and his administration have a bunch of Socialist ideas they are or will be pushing upon the American people and I am against them because I believe in a Capitalistic Society rather then a Socialistic Society. It doesn't make me UNPATRIOTIC to think that way. Who is UNPATRIOTIC IN AMERICA are those who believe that it is "government's right" to take care of everything in thier lives. I'd much rather see a government push for self dependancy rather then government dependancy. Now if that makes me unpatriotic in your eyes and others like you then America is in serious trouble because it wasn't what America was founded on. The Founding Fathers never wanted America to become a NANNY STATE and they'd all be rolling around in their graves if they saw what Obama is doing to the country right now.

I could care less whether the olympics comes to the US or not, in fact it should be held in its birthplace of Greece, from here on.
