“Have you ever noticed how all composite pictures of wanted criminals resemble Jesse Jackson?”

“Look, let me put it to you this way: the NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons. There, I said it.”

[To an African American female caller]: “Take that bone out of your nose and call me back.”

”I think the media has been very desirous that a black quarterback do well.  They’re interested in black coaches and black quarterbacks doing well.  I think there’s a little hope invested in McNabb and he got a lot of credit for the performance of his team that he really didn’t deserve.”

“I think the guy’s wrong. I think not only it was racism, it was justifiable racism. I mean, that’s the lesson we’re being taught here today. Kid shouldn’t have been on the bus anyway. We need segregated buses — it was invading space and stuff. This is Obama’s America.”

Quotes like this - even if true - mean nothing. If that is the measure of being racist then, the Clintons, Jesse Jackson and a whole list of liberals also meet the criteria.

I mean, really, if Rush Limbaugh is racist, why would he employ a black producer for umpteen years? Heck, there are complaints about Obama not hiring blacks for his campaign staff, I suppose he's a racist too.

Show me comparable quotes from the Clintons.

Are you arguing that white people with black employees cannot be racist?  Have you ever seen "The Help"?

Yes, but Limbaugh is humiliated, as he should be.  Pendajo is not a protected class, so the restaurant has the right to refuse him service.  It would be probably be good for business in the long run - sort of a reverse Chik-fil-a.

Yeah, I know it didn't happen - just hypothetically.

Obama readily admits that he was a frequent choom smoker and occasional blow snorter so it's okay to call him a drug addict

You might want to check in with the NIH or CDC for the definition of "addiction".

Smoking pot and occasionally doing some blow does not an addict make.

However, eating 30 percocets a day? Well provided you don't give yourself liver failure first, heh, that's a bit of a different story....

Racist Limbaugh has a black producer.

The whole story is a hoax, made up out of nothing, from the satirical website, the Daily Currant. A quick google search of the restaurant yields nothing.

    What suckers.

When are you going to post the story from the Daily Currant about a meesage from GOd found in DNA???

    What idiots!!!

Obama can't be a socialist - he has capitalist friends.

    What a maroon!!!

The Teo story wasn't made-up.  It was dead-on.

    Teo's g/f WAS made-up.

    Difference.

Good point, he was more of an abuser than an addict. Which, of course, is a lot worse than accidently getting addicted to painkillers due to a medical condition.

    Abuse? No it doesn't.

There is no reason why the mere legality or illegality of a drug should determine whether it is use or abuse.

I would tend to apply the definitions for alcohol to any given chemical ingested for pleasure:

Alcohol abuse means having unhealthy or dangerous drinking habits, such as drinking every day or drinking too much at a time. Alcohol abuse can harm your relationships, cause you to miss work, and lead to legal problems such as driving while drunk (intoxicated). When you abuse alcohol, you continue to drink even though you know your drinking is causing problems.

If you continue to abuse alcohol, it can lead to alcohol dependence. Alcohol dependence is also called alcoholism. You are physically or mentally addicted to alcohol. You have a strong need, or craving, to drink. You feel like you must drink just to get by.

    http://www.webmd.com/mental-health/alcohol-abuse/alcohol-abuse-and-dependence-topic-overview

An alcoholic is a man or a woman who suffers from alcoholism - they have a distinct physical desire to consume alcohol beyond their capacity to control it, regardless of all rules of common sense.

According to Alcoholics Anonymous UK, who say they have no unique definition for alcoholism, it may be described as a physical compulsion, together with a mental obsession. Apart from having an enormous craving for alcohol, an alcoholic often yields to that craving at the worst possible times. The alcoholic knows neither when nor how to stop drinking.

Definition - an alcoholic is a person, while alcoholism is the illness. An alcoholic suffers from alcoholism. Alcoholism is a long-term (chronic) disease.

Alcoholics are obsessed with alcohol and cannot control how much they consume, even if it is causing serious problems at home, work, and financially.

Alcohol abuse generally refers to people who do not display the characteristics of alcoholism, but still have a problem with it - they are not as dependent on alcohol as an alcoholic is; they have not yet completely lost their control over its consumption.

    http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/157163.php

    • Alcoholism is when you have signs of physical addiction to alcohol and continues to drink, despite problems with physical health, mental health, and social, family, or job responsibilities. Alcohol may control your life and relationships.
    • Alcohol abuse is when your drinking leads to problems, but not physical addiction.

    As for getting accidentally addicted,

    1. That may garner some sympathy, but

    2. Not when you continue to feed your balooning addiction all the while ranting about 'drug addicts' & etc.

Or presiding over an administration that is cracking down on crimes that you commited with abandon as a young man.

But then again, if you seriously want to hold a radio talk show host to the same standards as the President of the United States I guess we can let them both slide.

I have repatedly voiced my disgust with Obama for not making one bit of effort to end the War on Drugs, most particularly the vile raids of medical marijuana businesses.

All I can do is hope he meant what he said in 2012, "bigger things to worry about."

You must be talking to someone else.

    That's not really true.

Though I don't agree and have excoriated the admin on this point, the feds are going after large-scale distributors under the guise of appearing tough on a drug that many conservatives regard as "evil"...

...not simple possession cases...that latter being the worst that "young obama" could possibly be accused of.

There are plenty of reasons to be against mj prohibition, but the mere fact of indulging when one was younger isn't really one of them.

There's also no real comparison between pot and prescription painkillers on the danger or addiction scale, but you probably knew that already.
