Personally I think the pink looks kind of cool and it's a good cause. He probably could have come up with a better example of "chickification." Like, for example, those Europeans that sit instead of stand in the men's room to relieve themselves. Yikes.

Re: RUSH LIMBAUGH: YOU DON'T PUT THE NFL IN PINK FOR A MONTH

I think the NFL over does it with the pink.  And they probably wouldn't do it if so many players hadn't been accused of assault on women.  But Rush is just a DB making DB comments.

i think it would more appropriate if the NFL put the effort into prostate cancer awareness.  better yet, put more effort at concussion awareness.

it is odd that the NFL does a month of breast cancer awareness.  A cynic might wonder if it causes women to augment their game day wardrobes with official pink team jerseys, gates, etc.

Rush Limbaugh has raised eyebrows with comments he made about the NFL’s recognition of Breast Cancer Month during a recent taping of his radio show.

In a five-minute-long clip, the conservative pundit argued that there has been a sustained attack on masculinity in America.

“The chickification of everything is taking place…feelings are triumphing over common sense,” he said on his show.

To support his argument, Limbaugh mocked the NFL’s annual decision to feature players, coaches and referees wearing pink game apparel to help raise awareness for breast cancer throughout October.

The campaign, called “A Crucial Catch,” also hopes to raise money for the American Cancer Society’s Community Health Advocates National Grants for Empowerment (CHANGE) program.

An unapologetic Limbaugh stated: “You don’t put the NFL in pink for a month!”

“I don’t think that there’s any question that there’s an attack on masculinity and it’s not new. It’s the modern feminism era that’s what it is, it’s the critique against masculinity,” he added.

    Rush Limbaugh, fifth degree badass?

Hasn't met a buffet his match, I suppose, but I don't think an obese dope fiend has anything to say on the subject of masculinity...

“It’s being chickified,” Limbaugh said at the end of a long rant last week. “The whole thing. Everything in our culture is being chickified.”

I say Rush plays a game as center and reports back to us...

If the NFL chose to use black instead of pink, would rushbo think that is okay? How about black for all those women who died from breast cancer.

Would that be better for the macho [smirking] drug addled wingnut Rush? Is it just a color thing.

Rather than be offended rejoice that the NFL didn't listen to him.

As usual Rush is right and leftwingers, who do not listen to him on a regular basis, are wrong. Well, there is no right or wrong, its just opinion.

Does anyone that follows football deny that the game is being tamed down in terms of play on the field and what is allowed or not allowed? I agree with some of it, not all of it , and they do go to some silly extremes when it comes to some penalties.

Wearing pink? That isn't feminizing the game? Of course it is. Do they put on neon blue for prostate cancer awareness?

And really, what good does putting pink shoes on for breast cancer really do, can anyone answer that legitimately? Are we not already aware of breast cancer?

Rush Limbaugh - the man the left loves to hate in their usual stupor of ignorance.

Poor Rush.  Carrying around all that resentment as he perceives the influence of "real" men is lessening in society.

Don't worry Rush, you are still safe to be a misogynist at home.  It just might be harder to find submissive women to be your 5th, 6th, and 7th wives.

You should educate yourself. The pink items are auctioned off and the money goes to the breast cancer organization. It's called "raising money".

Rush's standard, repetitive mantra is that we are a nation of sissies.   We have become wimps in all areas of life and society.  Why is this any different?   Oh, it's not.  ;)

I know his position; he's a shock jock, he's doing what he's paid to do.   If he gets under your skin, then he's doing a very good job, isn't he?   He doesn't offend me in the least.

If you watch(ed) the video, it's hysterically funny.  This entire thread should be part of the political humor and satire thread.  By the end of the video, I was laughing out loud.  He is who he is.   If you take him, or anything he says seriously, that's on you.  If he has followers, that should not be keeping you up at night.   Limbaugh's views are nothing new.

As far as the "pink" issue is concerned, sports fans have their focus on the game.  I could not care less if the NFL wears pink for a month.  If it makes the NFL look good in your eyes, that's fine, but don't cherry pick the issues, and turn around and bash them for the concussion issue.  It's more meaningful to me to see the women at my gym wear extra pink in October anyhow;  they are "real" to me.

If you think a color feminizes you, perhaps you should ask yourself just how secure you really are in your masculinity...

Rush: spokesman for the blood-thirsty, passive-aggressive, uber-male, misogynists everywhere.

And so the conservative rhetoric against women continues full-steam ahead....
